Acebeam T27 Empty Host = 3.4oz

SLN Emtpty Host = 6.3oz (~Twice the weight T27, Kind of expected?)

View post on imgur.com

LilVortex = 3oz (If anyone have ever handled a 1oz gold/silver coin before imagine 3 of it! It’s almost the weight of an empty T27 shell and 1/2 the weight of a empty SLN!)

My wallet is crying quietly.

These things are way out of my budget, but they really do look good!

SLN 001 = Raw Anodized
SLN 007 = Bead Blast Anodized
Notice tail cap not matching with body
Bead blast greatly matches body parts
Non bead blast = a bit more slippery
I also notice glossy anodizations tend to chip easier than matte bead blast then anodize
Our anodization seem very strong with our proto sample beating so might not be a problem for us but we will see

Inside tail cap and body get Gold Adolyned to resist corrosion

Engravings remain legible even after bead blast + anodization

I am very happy with our Production SLN

$400 for this light. What did I say fellas? What did I say? That being said that 12 XPL mule looks great. I’m sure this light has best thermals out of any production light of this size and range. Light is a little bit heavier for me though since I got a E07 in full copper and absolutely hated the weight and heat in hand.

looking for the latest 5000k Best LED’s for this 12 Mule !
thanks.

This being Sky Lumen, I expected a price tag like this. I sure am not gonna buy this, it’s waaaaaaaaay out of my budget, but that won’t stop me from appreciating the build and the effort Vinh put in to come up with it

I am with you on this! Even in my budget doesn’t allow me to buy one, I guess no one is indifferent to this/these flashlights!
Good looking, built like a tank flashlights, with attention to detail, reliability and quality!

Even if it is not EDCable in the jeans, this would probably be the flashlight I would carry with me everywhere in a backpack, and it would probably work under any atrocious condition! Great work !!! :+1:

Great light built like a tank but it is too much for me too

Nice :+1:

I feel the body Orings complete the lights. Just have to include it to the base light.
Also decided to install extra water resistance inner orings on the body as default too.
The outer ones are a bit thinner for easy threading and future twisty operations.
Oh and yes I do agree the price is excessive even beyond my own anticipation.
I dropped the price of P60vn quite a bit ahead of this SLN launch.
Quads used to be $150 but now are $115.
$115 may still be expensive to most for just a light engine so perhaps an alternative P60 could be used for further savings.
I can’t do anything about the host being $250 though.
But I do appreciate everyone enjoying the build regardless of price
Here are final photos of the Shipping SLN

Have you considered selling body tubes with various knurling patterns? I’m sure some people would be all over that.

Price-wise this is right in line with similar quality semi-custom lights, and this has the advantage of a host you engineered vs off-the-shelf from PFlexPro or a similar builder.

I got this flag at Goodwill and it was brand new sealed! I was so excited to see that its made in USA! I have another flag but the stars are not embroiled like this one is and is not made in USA either. From now on I will save this flag as background for USA made lights

May be I will get a high quality embroiled Chinese flag to use as background on the most premium true Chinese branded lights …hmmm…

Are these bad ideas? ahhaah

Yes I got tons of plans. Even plan to use LilVortex custom copper shell to work with a large reflector thrower head. But first I have to recoup the funds first. Kinda broke right now. Even debating selling the Stingray ahhaha

There is a delay for batch 2 and some lights from batch 1 at the anodization shop. I will update as soon as I have better ETA.

In the meantime here is the most updated Twisty Tail Cap

Massive 3X15mm Trits slots on the side
Leave empty for maximum twist grip
Fill every other slot with Trits to retain grip while adding extra night visibility
Fill every slots with Trits for maximum shine
Raised side wall diameter is slightly larger than body for trits accommodation without loosing rigidity
Side wall increased diameter also adds extra torque for twist operation
Side wall increase diameter also make head from tail identification easily in the dark

Added groove with screws tapped
Ti pocket clip can be installed
Hole on pocket clip can serve as lanyard attachment point if needed
If you dive or climb and need a more robust carabiner attachment point there will be an accessories that screwed to the same groove.
If all the side trits are filled then the pocketclip will be your biggest grip point for twist operation.

Rear 2X12mm Trits slots surround SL engraved Logo if possible. Under logo it should say “USA”. Not sure if we can engrave with such detail.

All sharp edges will be rounded off for comfort

3 Rear 2X12mm Trits = $13.50*3 = $40.50
11 Side 3X15mm Trits = $12*11= $132
$172.50 in Trits parts alone!!! hahahahahhahahah
I imagine most will just leave the slots empty
But can you imagine how cool the tail cap would be if fully populated with these HUGE trits?

That is beautiful Vinh. :+1: I don;t know why, but it reminds me of a classic Polarion HID from a few years back, but this looks awesome.
