RD new greatest power supply RD6006 DC power supply coming soon

I was going to say sort of the same a while ago. While 60V is plenty, 6A is definitively too small.

this is the first one of new series, like DPS5005—DPS5015—DPS5020, if customers like this kind of power supply, higher voltage/current version will be published

ok, thank you for explaination

hello guys, there is one thing I want to tell you: RD tech new power supply RD6006 has been released!!

here are some introduction pictures, if you want to know more information about RD6006, I suggest you to check the product page, I write everything there, welcome to ask me if you have any questions.

Questions… so this unit is rated for 360 watts, but lists a max amps output of 6 amps. 360 watts = 6 amps @ 60 Vdc. So, can the unit be set for 4Vdc and 15 amps or is 6 amps a hard limit at any voltage? If that is the case, it is not large enough for LED testing. It would be nice to see the input at 48-60Vdc and the output at 15 to 20 amps.

I would definitely use the wireless PC control, that would be super handy as I always have a laptop on the bench or an android device. Power supply could be located under the bench, out of sight, out of mind.

Hard current limit.

The DPS5015/20 is for you then,

That is exactly what I was afraid of. I guess I will wait to see if this gets upgraded current limits, the comms software looks so much better on this unit. 6 amps is fairly restrictive when testing a DD driver and led combo, or god forbid a decently driven quad or XHP.

I have been eyeing the 5020, but the software makes me cringe!

Hi friend
thank you for your message and your question
for current , the limit current is 6a, even you lower voltage to 1V, the max current is 6a
for now it is only 60v/6a, you can wait some months for higher power supply

thank you , yes, you are right ?
are you interestting for RD6006 ?

this is DPS5020, you can check

@RD Tech, I am quite interested in the DP6006, especially since the casing design looks so good.

really, very good, if you like it , you can make order directly, now the price is very lower now

In this video, we show some data you want to see

we show battery charging operation and reverse connection first.

then we check the output voltage/current accuracy and output ripple. 100mV VPP

Finally we test the working temperature under full output(60V/6A)

room temperature 36.5℃, panel 62℃, AC-DC power supply 46℃.

no one want to see that ?

Really nice product, I think I will hold out for a higher power version but this looks very good for the money.

not need to wait higher version, it will be long time
if you need, please make order now

I have the DPS5020 (works great) and I really like this new RD 6006 model and its interface but 6 amps is not enough current for me.
I will wait until you come out with a RD 6020. Nice job RD Tech with this newer model, looks way more professional.
Make a RD 6020 and I’ll buy it :+1: .

thank you so much for your reply, in fact , it will be long time
I suggest you can buy one to play first

still no one want to play ? it is not good or too expensive or current too small , every one like big current ? https://pingjia.alicdn.com/hLMRTaGYdH3uMeQvmhv/Z0bDdhdKLSLEpj9MYm0.mp4__hd.mp4

Hi!
I am in search of a power supply like this, but…
To your questions: (these are just my opinions)

Yes, even with your 5 days discount, it is fairly pricey, considering it is still a single-panel dc-dc converter, not a complete “lab” power supply. No enclosure, no mains converter, etc.
Secondly, 6Amps are almost nothing these days. Considering it is not a lab equipment, no filtering, linear stage, etc. It would have been better if you start the design with at least 10-15Amps in mind.
6Amps is perfect for a super stabilized ripple-free electronics lab power supply, but this product is not in that category. The professional design it is spot on for me, but the inside should also reflect it, or be very cheap, like your 3012 psu. For around 30USD it is very capable, but it is not professional looking either inside or outside, purely a hobbist unit.

My main reason apart from all those, is that it is expensive enough to get taxed by customs in most countries.
Maybe start selling through resellers (for this same end-price), who offer EU,US wareouses or duty-free shipping methods.
Importing it to my country would likely to cost me about the third of this price in taxes. For 75USD equivalent, there are used high-power power supplies with less fancy features, but more rugged inner design and propably longer lifespan.
