Clear/white anodized was mentioned, but we were told it was expensive to do anodizing that stayed clear. Maybe Sofirn or any one experienced with anodizing, can comment on that, and it could be added.

Voted Blaze orange 1st
2nd would be flat earth

I voted Olive Green as my first choice and had Flat Dark Earth as a second choice.
I would have included Orange as a third(maybe even second) choice if it had been more of a ā€˜Hunterā€™s Orangeā€™ :frowning: ā€¦ā€¦. JMO

You really think Sofirn will be able to get FDE and Olive green (drab) anodized? Acebeam tried what they called ā€œMil greenā€, but was more like greenish gold.

Here is true Cerakote mil spec olive drab vs what Acebeam came up with. (sorry about the camera distortion. makes the tail cap look bent)

And true Cerakote FDE on a convoy c8 (second from right)

Always liked flat dark earth Not great if you drop it in the -woodsā€¦.but a cool colour

Since Convoy started to do it, I feel, that silver/clear ano. is something like a golden standard.

its me or olive green looks more like coleman green? :open_mouth:

I had the same thought. ā€œColeman greenā€ in the picture looks like the ugly green shown in the main LT1 thread IMO.

Iā€™m hopeful and optimistic, butā€¦.

That is the exact reason why weā€™re talking to the factory - - to find common ground between what we would like and what they can deliver. Discussions like this give us targets, they show how close they can come, and decisions are made.

Fact is that Coleman never had a specific ā€œColeman Greenā€ I just found a close balance to what some of the many Coleman lanterns in my GPA collection has. There probably are a couple dozen shades of green Coleman used on their lanterns & stoves over the years, and some are very different, even some of the lanterns i have have a different green on the enamel top vent shade than they painted on the fount (tanks) The 356 Pantone green from my Pantone color guide book i have is sort of close in between the most common green shades of the lanterns i have.

Voted for olive green but iā€™d prefer a D18/E07 kind of sand. Red also looks nice as well.

FDE, Orange, and OD green look nice!

I'm not buying this lantern, but I like (Forest/Coleman) Green the most, and Blue the second most.

I do like flashlights that come in more than just black, however.

Currently if the two greens are added together, the voting stands at 35% for green. That shows significant support for some sort of dark green.

Black, Orange and FDE in that order

Voted green , like the FDE also .

silver please

If clear ano is unavailable, perhaps an option could be bare, un-anodized Al? Simple metal polish such as cotton wadding-based products (Nevr-Dull) are easy to apply, retain natural OEM shine, and one application lasts a very long time. It's my go-to stuff for polished Al wheels, motor covers etc. on my vintage and modern motorcycles.

An owner might even wish to allow the unfinished and unpolished Al to develop it's natural patina, in keeping with light as tool vs light as industrial art.

Voted for orange, but i like the Coleman green as well.

Either green first, FDE or sand second.
