NIGHTWATCH NSX3 9900lm 21700 LED Flashlight NS53A 6500K 9900lm

If you notice, most of our “hype” flashlights are non-sense, the emisar d4 and d4s overheat itself when on turbo, the BLF GT is ridiculously big and heavy.

I buy this light not for using everyday, but to make my friends “wow” when i show it to them

well yes true, but that much lumens in small host is kinda a bit overkill imo…

Can’t the LEDs be dedomed for a little more throw?

Yes. But I’m not sure it would increase very much being that the reflectors are orange peel and not very deep.

I dunno if I would have bridged the springs. In this case I don’t think it would noticeably increase output, but rather take a light that already gets super hot super fast, and make it heat up even faster, and probably reduce the life of the led. Just my two cents.

you’re clearly in the wrong forum, pal :smiling_imp:

Got mine. It’s a really stupid flashlight. No memory mode

I’m jealous. Still waiting for mine to arrive

Imagine what can do if hit eyes…
Don’t know the utility of these high powered lights.
once they shut down after seconds for heat
the natural night vision is compromise

How long before Lexel makes a ramping driver replacement for this with Anduril?

This morning’s walk with my NSX3

This configuration is what I am looking for. Of course, excessive heat too fast is the enemy, but this configuration is tops for short burst max lumens for its size. If the build quality is ok, I will want to latch onto a few of these to make gifts of.

Just got mine today, this thing is just silly. At first I was confused since the box seemed so small, how could nearly 10k lumens fit into this little package. I opened it up and it’s no bigger than one of my C8 style lights, smaller even maybe. I peeled off the insulating sticker on the 30T and fired it up. Pretty bright, more than I would expect from a light this size. So I charged up the cell and tried again, nearly fell out of my chair!

This thing is stupid bright for sure, gets hot stupid fast and honestly I don’t think I have a use for it other than to make people go wow. I absolutely love it.

^^I would never gift this light, at least not to someone who isn’t an enthusiast. This thing can start fires, it can burn you and it eats batteries.

Mine aren’t orange peel. I hear dedoming can give some halfway decent results. I don’t think I’ll try it though, this thing is silly, and I want to keep it that way.

How did you get it without the orange peel?

No idea, ordered it and that’s how it came. I ordered the NS53A version from Nealsgadgets, box was labeled properly and it’s certainly bright enough that I think I got the right thing.

interesting… Based on the fins and the effeciency of 3 xhp50s, I guess it may be able to hold about 2000+lms. It would be nice for daily use if it can memorize the mode

Anyone else got theirs? Anyone still waiting for it? Any more observations on this fascinating item? My favorite supplier is still waiting on these to arrive.

I am excited about getting my hands on this little screamer.

Can someone move this topic thread to the new 21700 section of this forum.

Who has them in stock, ready to ship now?

I got mine quite some time ago. I’m currently camping, as a group of us were sitting around the campfire, I took this pocket beast out and put it on turbo. The comment I received by most was “that’s ridiculous”

This thing puts out a massive wall of light. I can easily light up our entire campground and even the adjacent campground about 80 yards+ away.

One thing I can confirm, even in low temperatures like 40 degrees farenheit, this thing heats up QUICK. The head becomes too hot to touch between a minute or two. After two minutes the body starts to get pretty warm but can still be handled if held near the bottom. This light packs a punch.

I like it a lot, because it packs what I want, but who has these in stock, ready to ship now? I want a few, to make gifts of.
