[M4D deal] Nightwatch NI40 with Luminus SBT90 Gen2 interest list OPEN

The last bin is crazy! Wonder which one is being used in this light. Btw where did u even find this datasheet…Mars? Pluto?

I asked Wendy and she emailed it to me -- will post a link to it on my google drive share...

try this for the SBT90.2 datasheet. let me know if it works or not for you.

Agree - would be great to know the bin they are using in this light.

I wonder if there’s any chance for a group buy to get the top bins. Perhaps we can chip in with some light manufacturers or sellers like KD, L4P, MTN, Emisar.

I'm think'n the higher bins might not exist yet. CREE would do the same thing - all bins/tints listed would no be available, but for CREE now, they are mostly at the high end of the bin range anyways, sometimes higher than the datasheets define. It's all a matter of what they can produce, and what the distributors/resellers carry. Maybe the high bins exist but are twice the price - who knows...

Thanks a lot for that datasheet!
Some notes:

  • this LED has seriously low Vf. About 3.35V at 20A.
  • ~100 lm/W at 9A (the binning current), but cold binned.
  • About 5300 lm at 22.5A compared to CFT-90 4800 lm (sourced from CFT-90 datasheet, not from test). And it has lower Vf, so it’s clearly more efficient.

This may not scale to extreme currents like CFT-90 but nevertheless thanks to not-so-terrible efficiency it may be the new king of big throwers. :student:

Anyone have any info in the rear clicky specs? Dimensions etc? Looking to put in a reverse clicky

Someone correct me if I’m wrong but I think it already has a reserve clicky.

Sorry. Want a forward CLICKY.

Listing says: Swtich: 20mm,10A reverse switch

typos and all...

Ohhh - fwd switch.

10A switch with a 20A LED. Something isn’t right here. Maybe they used a different switch for this one.

The little Onten 1288 switch is rated at 1A (30V) and is used in flashlights up to 15A sometimes. Specs are not as simple as they sound.

So what should I buy for this host ?

I use these KAN-9 10amp FWD click switches 20-30amps with 18awg bypass…no problem…

Would have been cool if they gave us option to choose forward clicky. Would be cool if it was a standard thing to offer both from all companies.

Hi Martin. Reports are starting to come in saying that the memory is intermittent. Also mode switching, as well as the button feel/press. Can you check with Neal on that.
That is a huge factor on whether I would want the light, because I would like the light to start out in turbo.

According to some feedback on TLF the positive terminal of unprotected 21700 batteries like Samsung 40T will be crushed. :-(

dissapointing to hear since thats a standard very good quality highdrain battery to use in many lights :person_facepalming:
