SBT90.2 In BLF GT

I don’t believe so. The XHP35 is a 12v part; the SBT90 Gen 2 is 3.5v.

You just need a different buck driver from Lexel.

I think if they made an SBT90 gen2 driver and led kit for the GT, mugs like me would do the “shut up and take my $$” thing.

Yes I want that too

Driver is the next hurdle i will do some current tests on the k75 soon

Dunno if any buck driver can go that high in amps. Best thing would be modding the battery carriers for 4P.

You can make 4p battery holders from 2 astrolux battery carriers with no modification

Huh? Ok, you got my interest. Do u mean the astrolux carriers would fit in a GT?

In case anyone is look'n for it, if not already posted, Wendy emailed the SBT90.2 datasheet to me, I posted it here: SBT90.2.

If Lumintop would be interested I would finalize my very high current driver for 3V LED from 2S battery
The head part would be needed to machine out proper parts for thermal pads to get an efficient cooling, but even without that it might be enough to get rid of about 4-5W heat

Ah, but the GT is 4S. Would it work for 4S?

Ive been waiting for someone to approach this. Subscribed!

Sounds too difficult for entry level modders, most people just want a conversion kit (as with the XHP70) driver, mcpcb with LED and different battery carriers for 4P.

Nobody is waiting to machine his GT.

Im not sure the astrolux carriers are 2s2p. At work at the moment when i get home i will measure them

I would be interested in testing them for you in custom made lights with sbt-90 and a cft-90 using GT reflectors i have

It seems the Astrolux carriers are 2S 2P, so you have to mod them

There is no modding if Lumintop would release a SBT GT
4S would need a way bigger inductor size than 2S or current had to go down a lot

At a current like 35A you cant make an easy mod, I bet also the K75 has dedicated heat pads to cool components on the driver
Things get toasty at that high currents even with 95% efficiency

I would mount the driver i something similar to this. Tonight i will take my K75 apart to see how it is done.

2 astrolux 2p2s battery carriers can be made into 1 4p carrier with no modification to the boards.

Grin, taking the k75 apart would be much appreciated. Really, Looking forward to it.

And also, which driver is that in your pic, looks super familiar.
