EMISAR D4S V2 26650

Rbpinto seems to know about shipping to Australia by AliExpress, see above. If that does not work others will chime in with their experiences, but it would not hurt to contact Simon:

Hope it is not too expensive.

I also would love to see a Ti/Cu version of the D4Sv2

Does anyone know of a good holster and diffuser that fits the D4sv2 well?

I received my new D4SV2 yesterday. So nice! Cyan, Stainless Bezel, floody optic, and SST-20 4000K. It’s pretty awesome for my uses - home, truck, campsite.

I’m gonna try this one for my D4SV2:

Diffuser

It’s for flashlight with a head diameter of 38mm, the D4SV2 is 37,5mm.I think it should fit

I bought this holster for my D4SV2 and I love it. It’s a bit stretchy so it will fit several other lights with a similar size.
It can be rotated and snapped into 45 degree angles so you can use the light to shine in front of you with your hands free. If you don’t want the rotation at all, just glue the rotating part of it.

For a diffuser, this one in 36mm should fit snugly. I bought a similar one from Banggood, but it’s not available there anymore.

Works for me comes in black too!!

Purchased at academy for 8.99

Would it be possible and actually a good idea to drive D4S V2 with a 3*AA battery holder?

I’m looking for a good muggle light and this one in muggle mode looks like an interesting option…

It should be possible but it is not the best idea because you loose a lot of runtime and brightness. Also the AA alkaline batteries are known for leaking.

If you use only the muggle mode with three rechargeable AA batteries it should work well. Most likely they won’t deliver more than 1000 lumen. Maybe you could also use a protected 26650 battery?

I looked at the topic closer…
Quite a few 26650 lights support 3*AA. But 3*AA holder is actually over 30 mm in diameter. Too large for D4S. :frowning:
Protected 26650 probably won’t work - Emisar lights don’t tend to support protected cells.
Anyway - while I feel that protected Li-ion cell threadlocked in a rechargeable light would be a fair choice I would still feel better with NiMh.

A short time lapse of the heat development with XPL-HI V2 5D emitters:

Threads are a major barrier…thank you 0-8-15 User.

I ask for help. Can I set the desired color(RGB aux LED s) of auxiliary diodes or change constantly?

There are a bunch of settings and you can have them different for different modes. I have mine set as a fixed color (usually red or magenta) when in “normal” mode and flashing or battery check when locked out.

Has anyone measured the current consumption of the XPL-HI and Nichia versions in turbo mode?

If I recall correctly, the Nichia version has a Nichia-specific firmware that limits the current for the Nichia version (assuming the Nichia version Anduril firmware is used). Something like 80% of the max compared to the XPL-Hi/XPL-HD/SST20 versions of the D4S).
