BLF Lantern Purchase/Followup Information - Group Buy list is Closed!!!!

Mine spent 9 days in customs before popping out early Monday morning. Then no status update until mid morning today, its out for delivery.

You must be good luck, just updated to import cleared at customs.

Mine delivered today! I haven’t opened it yet. :innocent:

I ordered on Oct. 16th and it arrived today Oct. 29th.
Thank you The BLF LT1 team.
Thank youTracy.

ok i just received the first production LT1 i ordered from the first list of the group buy. Have it charging at the moment, This one has the four Sofirn 3000mAh cells, (i removed the paper bottom stickers on the cells) these were paper/cardboard, i remember some mentioned theirs were plastic film?) everything functions & works as expected, the finish is great, very good anodizing, ( 1/4 turn lock out works as required, has the most recent version of the LT1 Andruil firmware from what i can see, has the newer stronger stainless steel hex-center bolt, the proper pads were soldered for the 5 + 5 AMCs enabled with 6 & 7 left open as planned, and the default charging is set at 1.5 amps as planned. My test meter is showed 1.5 when i first plugged it in, ( but the cells were already at 4.02 volts each) and dropped a little to 1.46 amps with 5.19 volts supplied from a 2-amp USB standard wall charger.

Hi,

I havnt received a pm with a code.

I’m number 2048 on the interest list, am I still meant to be waiting on a code or has something gone wrong?

Regards,

Daniel

Nothing has gone wrong. Only 500 lanterns have been produced sofar, and less than 500 codes have been send out sofar. When new lanterns have been produced, more codes will be sent out, until all people on the list have bought their lanterns.

Thanks for the info mate

Let me get this straight. So if we didn’t come to this thread and sign up again (despite already being on the interest list) we’ve missed the group buy? If so, that’s very disappointing for people who don’t follow all these threads closely and were waiting for a PM as promised.

Nope. The other thread was for sign-up (and design, and status updates). This thread, as I understand it, is for questions / issues after you receive your light.

Ahh, thanks for the update. Haven’t been following the threads in a while and was worried the group by was already done and gone. (that’s what I get doing late night browsing)

Don’t worry, if your name is on that list in the first OP thread of the main BLF LT1 lantern topic, then a code will be sent to you, just need patience and will take time as Sofirn is doing them in batches of 500 units at a time. They are working on to finish up the first 500 batch now, then they will be starting with the next batch ( and next 500 on the list.)

Ordered mine on Amazon on Oct. 10th. Arrived today in good shape. 22days.

A couple questions. Are these soldered on the correct spaces?

Also, can the top cap be swiveled so the bail is horizontal to the button? (Turned counter clockwise in this pict)

I don’t have an LT1 yet, but it seems you could loosen the top bolt, rotate the cap, and re-tighten the bolt.

I figure the only issue would be twisting of the LED wires, but I’d hope there’s enough slack for a bit of rotation.

Let us know if it works!

Robert has OCD like me, but I wasn’t able to turn the cap. There seems to be a grove it goes into and it won’t sit any other way. Maybe I’m afraid I’m going to break something. If someone else has tried it please report back.

I don’t have OCD, but I would like the button to face out when I hang it on my camp kitchen hook.

I asked elsewhere, what is the trim pot for.?

Turn the camp kitchen hook???

Can’t do that. It’s on a bar. You can see this red Fenix lantern hanging from it. On another note, I do wish this lantern had a red light mode. The red light is great for not attracting bugs. I like leaving the red on all night in case someone has to get up.

Very good idea. Maybe a red shade can be developed later.
