Choose your desired UI for Sofirn's AAA keychain lights

Love me some moonlight! Not on the red though I imagine.

My current vote is for Low-High
… but…
A Low-Medium-High without mode change option would be even nicer.

If the cost premium is modest, I would go for option 3 - 3 level, mode selectable. I’m not going to take much of an upcharge though, as my preferred 3 mode option is available at good size, performance and price in the Thrunight Ti3.

For RED, I would want high only.

I have just voted for third opción, but………

¿What about to get a last mode memory, like Jetbeam Jet-u??? simpler and just as practical, right?

moonlight mode is a must imo in small lights like this.

3rd option voted :+1:

As you clearly work for Sofirn, please make these threads in the commercial section.

Not quite the question you asked, but I would pay $0.50-$0.99 for 2 mode groups. That assumes the next-gen C01s comes in at MAP $9.99 - $10.99. If two mode groups are not available, I prefer LOW-HIGH on twisty lights.

Who does? Did I miss something? :expressionless:

BTW, about the UI…well, I am a fan of moonlight modes so make it 3 modes, configurable for L>H and H>L and I’ll be glad

A true nice ML mode is always nice

moon low med high , no memory

moonlight mode is a must for me

No LMH option? Like 3-20-100. I never use my Thrunite Ti3 as moon is almost always too low, but the next mode is too bright.

Sorry maukka. You must be clearly mistaken. I do not work for Sofirn. I never have. I do not get paid and I do not get benefits of any kind by supporting them. I do it just for the fun even if it may sound strange to some people. If you still insist on your opinion please feel free to escalate this subject to sb56637. I will have your complaint clarified with sb56637 to make sure I follow the BLF rules.

I Love my Ti3 with the moonlight, low high! From what I have read here, that wonderful light may no longer be available. At least some of the new ones have a different UI. Hopefully they will choose Option 3 so that this excellent choice remains available!!!

The SC31B is my first Sofirn light. I am impressed. If it had a moonlight it would be near perfect.

Sorry, seems I was mistaken.

That's alright, maukka. I have asked sb56637 for his opinion about it and he said that there is no need to move this thread to the commercial seller's subforum.

Glad it worked this way! Volunteer work and questioning about UIs being moved to that subforum would be “not good”!

Thanks for your work Lux!!!

I am one of those (unusual?) people who prefers my AAA twisty (I EDC ’em all the time) in high-low rather than low-high, 98% of the time. Most of the time I’m in need of more light than just a couple lumens. The exception is when I go camping; waking in the middle of the night to take a leak calls for a low or moonlight output. Usually I take a different AAA twisty with me when I go camping, but a configurable light could be the best of both worlds.

I’m happy for a light to have moonlight, but my eyesight isn’t good enough to use it, so I need L-M-H modes.

My old-model Fenix LD02 had 8-25-100 lumens, and those levels were perfect for me (it actually had an M-L-H sequence, but I prefer L-M-H).

I’m currently using a Nitecore MT06MD - 2×AAA, High CRI, 4-45-180 lumens - and it’s my most-used light.

Another good thing about both of those lights is that they have no mode memory.

I voted low-High

What I would really prefer is that the user can define groups.
For example:

- high - low - hidden moonlight

  • high - hidden low
