[M4D deal] Nightwatch NI40 with Luminus SBT90 Gen2 interest list OPEN

My SBT90.2 NI40 order from Oct. 23rd hasn't shipped, but I guess I didn't make Neal's "tester" list. I put in an order on Oct 31st and that one just shipped, but it's mainly batteries. Neal responsiveness varied greatly - I've asked bout combining orders but he hasn't answered.

Neal has been pretty good to me though, throwing in extras, etc., and usually responds well to emails. I've had one issue/concern with Nightwatch though - I still have a NA40 with a messed up tailcap form the first batch I haven't been able to get a replacement for - again, those emails/messages went unanswered. I've never gotten a response to that popup messaging system on the website.

Err I didnt literally mean a tester list, just if anyone had tested the batteries / outputs to share their results since up to this point it’s all been speculation haha.

My concern is that my batteries won’t arrive until a week or more later… seems they never shipped unfortunately. I don’t know how that works…. order batteries on 10/27, still no shipping notice??

Same. Sometimes he answers quickly and sometimes he doesn’t answer at all. You have to message him so many times. He wasn’t replying to my emails anymore so tried his FB Nealsgadgets. That didn’t work so I tried FB @Neal Zhang and he replied. He’s kind of started doing the same thing again though. Sometimes replies and sometimes takes ages.

Try emailing him. I got a replacement NA40SE body including tail cap.

Emailing him where?

I emailed his store where I bought the light more than 2 weeks ago and have heard nothing.

I have learned that USA customer service is superior over China based dealers.

More efficient, expedient and reliable throughout the entire process.

Neal replied to me on his FB messenger(nealsgadgets) My order last Oct 25 wasn’t fulfilled yet because of LED shortage. He said manufacturer will restock on Monday and he will be able to ship my light next week.

One of my lights arrived, no battery other than my Sky Lumen Delta battery, which is a 6000mah keeppower protected cell. I tried to put it in this light and it wouldn’t fit, too tight. I was scared to dent the positive battery terminal so I didn’t force it. I’m guessing this light requires unprotected length cells.

There is 4mm difference according to my google searches regarding the protected Keeppower 6000mah 26650, vs the 4300mah unprotected Golisi. Makes sense… sadly my Golisi haven’t shipped… sigh. I’m trying to show my cousin who is staying with me the performance before he leaves this coming Tuesday… how do I get a good 26650 for this light shipped over the weekend for Monday?! I’ve got amazon prime but I don’t know which cell to buy….

Help please! Second best amazon sold 26650 high drain for this light??!

Do you have a good 18650 which you can try?

My order from Oct 22 hasn’t shipped yet either. Hopefully mine will be in this next batch.

He said everyone’s should ship next week. He’s paid for 100 pcs.

Go to a local vape shop or use an 18650 with a rubber band or o ring or anything around the outside to keep it from rattling.

Never try to put a protected cell in a Nightwatch flashlight or in any flashlight not designed to accommodate protected cells for that matter. I crushed two NA40SE springs by putting protected cells in there. I just received two Golisi 4300mah today that I ordered 3 days ago from Vapewild. It is supposed to be the best high drain 26650.

Yeah but i don’t think I have a converter… maybe…

It should work. Just put something nonconductive around it to center it properly and don’t use a button top. If It’s not making proper contact the srping could get really hot.

I hadn’t heard anything about my NI40 SBT90 order from october 23rd shipping, so I emailed neal on the 31st. Response came November 2nd. He said the LED was out of stock, that there was only a few in the first batch, and that restock would come the next week. Guess we’ll see.

Ah, ok - thanx! This stuff happens with Neal - no info posted about the stock on his store website. Pretty sure though I recall something bout mid November anyway.

Thanks for discussing this, now i don’t have to bug Neal.

Thanks, I found a converter from my Sky Lumen Delta accessories and I put a Sanyo NCR18650GA 3500mAh 10A Battery into the Ni40 SBT90.2. I couldn’t really tell by the eyes how much output/center lux I was getting, plus it was day time so my room was already window lit by natural lighting. It seemed quite impressive but without a side by side to another light it’s hard to speculate numbers. The hotspot is pretty large! It seemed larger than my Acebeam K75vn hotspot if I recall correctly.

Extremely usable spill, with minimal corona around the hotspot. Nice defined hotspot edges so I appreciate that as a thrower guy.

I would imagine this particular 18650 is nowhere near close to the ability of a Golisi on turbo?

Can someone please hypothetically relate the estimated difference in max turbo output between the 10A NCR18650GA Sanyo VS the 30A Golisi 4300mah (gold) in the Ni40SBT90.2?

SBT90.2 VS SST40 Dedome…. results are shocking? He’s not using a Golisi, so it’s only supposedly pushing 20A instead of 30-35A, but it’s still not looking very good for the SBT90.2… I couldn’t play it with audio, so I was just reading what he wrote on the cardboard towards the end.
