CLOSED!!

That’s what I’m thinking.

The appeal is you get to put it together yourself.

Umm… interesting? I really like the Tool AA V2.0’s. This is essentially an “assemble your own” kit. Seems odd to include both LEDs, but I guess that gives you the chance to try both if you don’t know what you like. And it’s not just the LED, it’s an entire pill. Which makes sense, I guess, since not everyone has a soldering iron.

Those disassembly tubes do look pretty neat and would make removing the pill slightly easier than than the mini-needlenose that I currently use. $40 before coupon though? Ouch. But it might make a neat gift for just the right person.

It is a bit pricey but with the coupon it’s $22.95. The light only is $19.95, with the kit you get two emitters and the simple fact that assembly is up to me is worth the $3 imo.

For me the appeal of this kit is the novelty of it. Are there any other lights which come with more than one emitter, and you can change them as it suits you?

I have more lights than I will ever be able to use. I'm down to selecting for "pretty", unique and/or novel.

I would go for it but i’m waiting for Titanium Tool 2.0

I’ll probably get that too lol :person_facepalming:

Just got this in panda white…thanks!

Ordered the Panda,
thanks McLight for the heads up and for the coupon!

Later,
Keith

Yes I’m new to this. I first got a emisar D1s a year or so ago and forgot about this forum. Found it again and the last week ordered a emisar d4sv2, astrolux mf01s, sofrin sc31B, this lumitop tool AA…

Trying really hard not to pull the trigger on the mf01s mini and the firefly e07 cu TI…

In as well on the white, many thanks for the tip!

Thanks for the heads up, needed a new one as I lost my old one a few months back.

You have my attention… Has it been confirmed that they’re making one of the V2?

Nope, just a post on their FB page asking about interests.

I definitely looks like those tubes go together as a pill removal/install tool pretty neat

don’t forget to mention the price of a 14500 battery.

It indicates Nichia 219C and Cree XP-L HD. I’m guessing probably 5000k for Nichia and maybe around 5000+ k for the XPL-HD…

On AliExpress, for the preassembled Tool AA 2.0, it says 6500K for the Cree LED and 4500K for the Nichia.

I’m not sure about the Nichia, but all of the Tool AA’s I’ve bought (~10, both V1 and V2) with the XP-L HD have been cool white, around 6000K.

EDIT: Whoops, Phlogiston beat me to it!

On its way.

Ordered the Panda white just for fun.

Thanks!
