[M4D deal] Nightwatch NI40 with Luminus SBT90 Gen2 interest list OPEN

Do you have a good 18650 which you can try?

My order from Oct 22 hasn’t shipped yet either. Hopefully mine will be in this next batch.

He said everyone’s should ship next week. He’s paid for 100 pcs.

Go to a local vape shop or use an 18650 with a rubber band or o ring or anything around the outside to keep it from rattling.

Never try to put a protected cell in a Nightwatch flashlight or in any flashlight not designed to accommodate protected cells for that matter. I crushed two NA40SE springs by putting protected cells in there. I just received two Golisi 4300mah today that I ordered 3 days ago from Vapewild. It is supposed to be the best high drain 26650.

Yeah but i don’t think I have a converter… maybe…

It should work. Just put something nonconductive around it to center it properly and don’t use a button top. If It’s not making proper contact the srping could get really hot.

I hadn’t heard anything about my NI40 SBT90 order from october 23rd shipping, so I emailed neal on the 31st. Response came November 2nd. He said the LED was out of stock, that there was only a few in the first batch, and that restock would come the next week. Guess we’ll see.

Ah, ok - thanx! This stuff happens with Neal - no info posted about the stock on his store website. Pretty sure though I recall something bout mid November anyway.

Thanks for discussing this, now i don’t have to bug Neal.

Thanks, I found a converter from my Sky Lumen Delta accessories and I put a Sanyo NCR18650GA 3500mAh 10A Battery into the Ni40 SBT90.2. I couldn’t really tell by the eyes how much output/center lux I was getting, plus it was day time so my room was already window lit by natural lighting. It seemed quite impressive but without a side by side to another light it’s hard to speculate numbers. The hotspot is pretty large! It seemed larger than my Acebeam K75vn hotspot if I recall correctly.

Extremely usable spill, with minimal corona around the hotspot. Nice defined hotspot edges so I appreciate that as a thrower guy.

I would imagine this particular 18650 is nowhere near close to the ability of a Golisi on turbo?

Can someone please hypothetically relate the estimated difference in max turbo output between the 10A NCR18650GA Sanyo VS the 30A Golisi 4300mah (gold) in the Ni40SBT90.2?

SBT90.2 VS SST40 Dedome…. results are shocking? He’s not using a Golisi, so it’s only supposedly pushing 20A instead of 30-35A, but it’s still not looking very good for the SBT90.2… I couldn’t play it with audio, so I was just reading what he wrote on the cardboard towards the end.

I’m not sure but the one with SBT90 could have a wider hot spot beam which is nice and allows you to actually make out object further, or it could have a better spill around which could be useful even if it looses in the absolute throw distance to the dedomed SST40

He was using a Vapcell 5000 which is worse than the shockli 5500 and the shockli 5500 is worse than the golsi/aspire at high currents. About a 0.3v difference at 20A. This means that with the Golisi/Aspire it should be around 35-50% brighter at turn on. I’m not sure how accurate my numbers are but I do know that it should be performing better than in the video. We’ll have to wait for more testing to really see how it performs.
Below are beamshots taken by Bluzie of the Thrunite Catapult V6, FT03 SST40, NI40 & Olight M3XS-UT Javelot. It seems to throw as well as the FT03. In a pic he showed a keeppower 5200 next to the light. This cell has pretty poor performance but I’m not sure if it’s the one he used.

One things for sure, the SBT90.2 has aLOT of spill power. Check out the difference in the ground immediately below the tripod! No other light of that bunch comes close in output.

I’m really hoping for 300kcd at turn on, because I am giving away my Sky Lumen Delta to a cousin tomorrow. 465kcd in that and I’d prefer not to lose too much throw as it’s my only real thrower at this point.

It would be hard to call myself a flashoholic and not own any light over 300kcd haha. Otherwise I’ll be purchasing a new dedicated thrower in the near future.

I don’t think the pictures are exposed right. The catapult doesn’t have nearly this much spill and same for fo3 if that’s the sst40 version. SBT90 seems to throw better than ft03 though as the objects in the hot spot appear brighter. Also looks like a slightly wider hot spot, which I suspected, and that’s a hood thing usually. This abt90 spill is what I am actually worried about. If the pics are in fact overexposed, the spill may not actually be that bright.

I own both the catapult and the ft03 both versions

A lot. There’s no 20A discharge curve for the GA but the 15A one shows a 0.31v difference. I doubt it’s even getting past 3000 lumens so i’d say at least 40-50% more output.

Received my cells yesterday. They measured at 4,242mah and 4,166mah

In a MF01 Mini with SST-20 4000K, Golisi 4300mah cell got 3,860 lumens at turn on compared to 3,770 with the Vapcell/Shockli 26650 5500mah which measures about 6,000mah. I’m pretty sure the SST-20 4000k was already pushed to the max. I hope to see a bigger difference with the NI40 SBT90.2. Still waiting for mine.

My Three Golisi 26650 4300mAh got 4350mAh,4332mAh and 4268mAh with my Opus.
