Banggood order stuck in "processing" – email address issues?!

I’ve placed three separate orders with banggood only to cancel them and request refunds. Seems like each time I try to order something(even though the website says, “ships in 5-7 days) it will take two weeks before anything happens. The last two orders were on backorder and not scheduled to shipped for multiple weeks after I emailed them about the orders. Never again will I order from banggood, I’ll just pay a few bucks more and order elsewhere. The little bit I’d save isn’t worth my time or the hassle trying to do business with them imo.

But the SST-40 5000 K with battery was still in stock and was shipped for other people days after I had ordered. Now that I get one via my friend I’ll wait several weeks for my open order. Maybe it will be shipped eventually or they contact me or something else happens.

I just had to go through this again with Banggood. Ordered a Sofirn SP10S, which said it would take twelve days to process. I waited two weeks before contacting them. First they said it was out of stock. So I said I wanted a refund. Then they said if I waited five more days, it’d ship. I told them I did not want to wait and wanted a refund. Then they told me the order was already confirmed so it was too late for a refund. I gave up with them, contacted paypal, and had my refund by the end of the next day.

Well my trepidations were unfounded,my order shipped today.
Now the wait and the obfuscated tracking info.

I finally got a refund from them…

One week later, a quick chat with the support again:

LOL I got that message from them several times… it never shipped.

But as I Said earlier, 3 other orders from banggood all shipped promptly and arrived in good time.

I have an order now that went from processing to backorder. Hope it works out with no issues. :wink:

This year, I’ve placed 12 orders from Banggood.
7 of my orders were received.
1 order is in shipping- 7 weeks and counting, so far.
4 orders were refunded, never shipped by Banggood.

Ahh, yeah. I got the mail that you had sent me to the address that is not working. Makes sense. :person_facepalming:

I’ve answered from the non-working email address, let’s see what they do.

This odyssey came to an end. Today I received an answer and a shipping notification.

Meanwhile I assume that a plus sign in the email address (something+foo@…) is an issue for some parts of Banggood’s system. It works fine for registration, sending emails etc. but fails in a particular step in the order process. Google understands this format as an email alias address. I use a different alias for every site so that I can trace back leaked email addresses (and block unwanted mails easily).

Got the FT03 SST-40 5000 K today! Charged the battery, switched it on in turbo, got a short flicker for less than a second and now the LED is dead. Just a very dim glow when it is switched on. The backlight LED of the switch works fine and the switch behaves normal. It’s just the dead SST-40 (but why does it still glow?). Probably bad product design and just too much current for this LED.

Well, Banggood customer support again, yay.

have you checked the voltage at the emitter? Also are you using a protected cell? as it may have gone into overload when you turbo’d it

I don’t have any protected 26650. Also I have not checked anything that would require disassembling yet, because I am waiting for a response from Banggood. If they decide that I will get my money back and do not have to send the flashlight back, I will disassemble it and check everything.

I recieved a nice dear john email from bangood this morning a alerting me that a package will
be delivered today.Sure enough it arrived and in good shape.
All seems to be in order,I am happy.

Today I tested the flashlight with my bench power supply and the maximum current, even in turbo, was less than 5 mA. Then I put it under the microscope and saw this. Photos are not of the best quality, but you can clearly see a vaporized bonding wire.

Meanwhile Banggood customer support told me that the battery is empty and that I should test a fully charged battery. Do you think it makes sense to show them these pictures? IMHO they are not able to understand what they see in these pictures.

It would be waste of time to show them photos of leds and try to explain them what is wrong with the led.
CS people (mostly girls) don’t know a thing about flashlight parts or any other product,
It’s like that joke about computers where you say something like “dvd that came with the product is empty”
and they say “did you try to turn your computer off and on again”…
Quickest solution is to get your $ back via paypal and deal with the CS just once, to let them know you are
filing a paypal dispute.

After I created a second video showing the problem, Banggood told me that they are willing to refund the money. I already got the FT03 ordered via my friend, so I’m happy (but cannot sell the second one anymore, of course).

When I get faulty lights from Banggood or AliExpress I de-solder a wire and show a video of it not working. Too much hassle involved if it’s difficult to show the issue.
