Review on BLF:

I have this light, it is very nice. Can’t believe they are selling it for $20! The side light beam and tint is one of the finest in my collection.

It sold for $36 on group-buy and now $20 with apparently free shipping? That’s a hellova deal. I put it in my cart but stopped to reflect on it for awhile before hitting “Buy”.
Anymore I like to envision a niche into which a new light will fit better than any light that I already own. I haven’t got that picture in my mind yet. Still thinkin…………….

I’ve been considering this for two days, but didn’t buy because of all of the bad reviews for the switch failing.

Maybe that issue has been resolved?

Yeah, I saw that too. Also the melting plastic side-light from excessive temps.

I really like the concept of this light, but the reported switch failures and pocket melting give me pause about purchase.

One guy reported that the only way he could get the light to turn off was to unscrew the tailcap.

I didn’t pause before checking out… :stuck_out_tongue:

My funds are limited, so I try not to buy things that will fail, sometimes dangerously, within a short period of use.

I admire your decisive approach.

I purchased two. A bargain in my opinion.

for sure this is a bargain. As for the shipping, did u guys choose Super Saver 4-7 days? Did u try Super Saver 3-5 days?

Past few years it seems they always start black friday sale with a big discount on a light with known problems…still tempting tho lol.

Just got my C22C from Battery Junction. This light is way better than I expected. The side LED is a wonderful neutral tint and it makes a fantastic keyboard, or reading, lamp. I have it sitting on the table next to my recliner and the flood beam with no hotspot does a great job of lighting up my tablet keyboard. It makes a beautiful round area of light from my neck to my knees so anything in my lap is perfectly illuminated, but it does not cast enough light on my face to cause a glare on my reading glasses.
This might be a somewhat specific use, but it’s a huge benifit to me. I have a lot of lights and none of them have ever been quite good enough for this task.
There are a few things I don’t like:

  • The lanyard hole in the tailcap has very sharp edges that bite into my palm. I’ll have to polish those edges a bit.
  • The little tiny rubber pushbutton takes a lot of pressure to operate (would be great for pocket carry) and the hold-to-change-modes is very slow.
  • The UI has memory for both main LED and the side LED, but when I change from one LED to the other, memory gets reset and goes back to starting in high.

One other nice thing- the tail magnet on mine is very strong :+1:

I’m ordering another one right now
