It looks like it broke right where the widened portion is. With length like that it should be easy enough to pull through. Thanks for the photo
I was about to forward this light to a relative in CA, but they are definitely not going to be able to install a new one themselves. So I’ll delay the sending I guess.
I lost mine 2nd time out. It’s my hope they’ll offer The switch cover as well, just from experience I know I’ll need a few and possibly an o-ring or two. Oh and if ever offered I’d buy an extra shade or two.
I Do Like this lamp though. Other than these somewhat minor details the thing is built like a tank and runs for days.
Mine just arrived 30 minutes ago. Ordered 17 October after receiving Private Message with Group Buy Code from Sofirn. Man, I love this lantern! Thank you to DBSAR, Lexel, ToyKeeper and everyone who had a hand in the design, creation, programming and execution! The Anduril UI seems very intuitive after a couple of tries. I thought that the lantern would be bigger, I’m glad its not! Love it! I hope everyone that wants one gets one!
We have mentioned the issue about the USB-C cover flap, with some having them break or loose them, hopefully they can rectify the problem with them breaking.
When I charge my LT I pull the cover off a bit and then rotate it out of the way in order to plug in the connector rather than pulling it up and out of the way. I have no evidence to back it up but my feeling is that it places less stress on the the part that attaches to the LT.
Thanks for the help guys. I just sent a message to Barry/Sofirn as MtnDon had suggested and he got back very promptly to send out a couple of spares, fantastic service.
I have several of the first 500 reserved… yet still haven’t been able to order a single unit. Hopefully all of us who have followed this project from the beginning will have a chance to receive all the lanterns we’ve preordered.
