[Group Buy Interest Poll] Tiny EDC keychain light done right - BLF/Sofirn-style!

What is the value of having a tail e-switch? Where would the keyring go (I don’t like them off-centered)? Wouldn’t it add cost and self-drain issues?

I have my gripe with the SST-20 and this optics. None of my many C01S is in its original condition, so I do not intent to buy another one. Such a small light needs to have a larger, softer spot. IMO.

Please make suggestions!

My C01S is still in the mail so I haven’t experienced it, but I agree that a keychain light needs a good amount of flood and large spot since it will be used at shorter distances.

100 at high or anything that lasts for an hour and then a 40 at medium is good with me. I know for sure I could use this on my keyring. I thought this would be a twisty. No drain and accidental turn on to deal with.

The keyring would need to be off-centered. I think it would add cost but no self-drain issues (I believe drain could be lower than self-discharge of battery) but I might be wrong about that.
Value?
Full Andruil in a light of this size would be a killer feature by itself.

I’m interested, especially if it has Moonlight, Low, High modes.

Maybe it would be possible to add a small side switch like this flashlight has: https://detail.tmall.com/item.htm?id=542841365120&skuId=4041112377452

There’s a honeycomb TIR optics that fits the C01S. Someone here on BLF found it. It is very floody.

My preference would be a different LED. As soon as there’s a Nichia 219C underneath that very same optics, you get a really nice beam.

Sofirn and people working closely together with Sofirn usually ignore my proposals, but in case someone is interested, I can do some comparative beamshots.

I'd personally want a stainless steel or ti 2 mode and none of this trying to be the baddest or brightest . i'd be thinking dqg or atom ,Not a pocket rocket ... just a classy light done right .$20 for SS and $30 for ti. High cri /nice tint ,starts in low but a higher than normal low since it's a 2 mode .

Something with only our name on it ...and not cloned by the maker using their name a month later.

Interested.
High CRI is essential.
Don’t skimp on runtime nor usable amount of light on medium, better to increase (battery) size.

I like 10280 more than 10180, but I would still get a 10180 flashlight if it's not a twisty.

(I don't like twisties.)

Make it 10440 … with LVP and replaceable

No one else has that with USB charging, AAA as option (dont care if it can charge those)

EVERYONE has a 10180 internal bat light, do something different

interested
prefer clicky, but not a deal breaker
moonlight, med, high
100lm plenty, but more is nice.
replaceable battery, external charge

I like this as well.

10440 with built in USB charging is interesting! Easy to replace with AAA.

10180 is too small and like bearbreeder says everybodys made them and they don't sell well

Interested for 3
high CRI
sub LM moonlight
Replaceable battery

Interested.

Interested. But I’d want e17, e21A or optisolis in it. Got spoiled by my jetusolis from clemence. So hopefully, easy to replace led at least.

Interested, w/LVP, and clicky. Maybe 10440 batt

For a light in the $10 range, I’m fine with the small cell, sealed design, Micro USB charging, and twisty operation. It must always start in low- no exceptions.
What I would like to see is:

  • Neutral/warm high CRI emitter.
  • Aspheric lens for wide, smooth beam with no hot spot, like the Utorch S1 Mini.
  • Solid lanyard/key ring attachment point like the ROVYVON A8.

How many I purchase will be based on color choices. Anodize these lights in an assortment of colors and I will buy lots of them. If it only comes in black, I will buy 1 light.
