It is always nice to win something. The proper thing to do (IMHO) is to let know that the gift has safely arrived in your hand. And to thank those responsible for organising the contest for their efforts. As Petr Sixta did in the post before.
But this is not always the case. The person I will thank is tatasal, for organising this GAW and to interfere with Gearbest about the prize to be send. But in this case no prize was received. Let we walk you through it.
November 27th I noticed I won a prize. Same day I PM-ed Gearbest with my vital statistics.
November 28th Gearbest asked me to rewrite all the formation I just gave them in the order they provided. I did. And asked me if I could send in a review of the prize. To which I agreed.
November 29th they PM-ed me the shipment was applied for and I would get a tracking number asap.
December 22nd I told them I still was waiting for my tracking number.
December 25th they told me the light would be in stok on Dec.31rd and I would get a tracking number.
March 12th they wrote (after many PM’s) there is a new CS person and the light was still out of stock. But if I wanted to receive another object with same value I could make a suggestion. So I did.
March 13th they replied the light I wanted was also out of stock and came with a counter suggestion. Well……. apparently you can’t look a gifted horse in the mouth, but there are limits. So I send them two new alternatives.
That’s when tatasal, who organised the GAW, jumped in and said all lights I wanted were out of stock. And that Gearbest had given him a list with items I could choose from. That were mostly wall and ceiling light fixtures, but I did not want a big box to be flagged by customs. So I asked for a set of four E27 light bulbs, being the only useful item in the list. I had to confirm that choice a few times and at last on
March 20th I got a PM saying:

And that was the last I heard from Gearbest. tatasal wrote me that they have (again) a new CS person. But they haven’t accessed their sales thread in over three weeks now. So it looks that Gearbest is leaving BLF in search for greener pastures alsewhere.
And I’m quite convinced that though I may have won, it will leave me empty handed.

I haven’T ordered from them yet. Are the GAWs real on this website or just a game? Do people normally get stuff?
