Drop.com $20 off - Lumintop Copper/Brass Tool for $10 - Discount not available as of 12/10/19

… your user name fits perfectly… :+1: Quite a VALUE this MassDrop entity.

Cheers! :+1:

Orderd the Blue Titanium with Nichia 219B led for 17,50 usd shiped to Belgium :sunglasses:

Thx for the info on this nice deal :+1:

Ditto $17.50 for one blue baby shipped off to Netherland! Eh… after opening an account, of course.

This is a pre-sale. PP exchange ratio $ => € will be known when DROP finishes the sale. ETA 2020-01-15.

Even if it would end up costing 17€ still a great deal

Does anyone know if they have fixed the tail switch? A lot of people in the reviews on Drop say that it is easily activated in the pocket.

Thanks for the lead. Got the 219B titanium.

Hope so, but I doubt it. Little AAA lights like these, I carry clipped in shirt pocket like a pen. Less movement and shouldn’t have any problem with accidental activation like in pants pockets.

I doubt it will get a 219b

those LEDs are discontinued. I think its just a typical cut and paste error from an earlier batch.

I agree w Streamer, I doubt the switch has changed.

My eSwitch Tool would also turn on when carried deep in my pocket attached to my keys. So I dont carry it that way. It works fine clipped to a pocket. Or dangling:

Thanks for that info. The advertised 219B was the the only reason that I was considering the Ti version, well, other than it’s really pretty.

Thanks for the information!

Hoping it does come with the 219B. Its still listed on the order page as a option and when you order the light you have to choose the led of choice which it is one of the choices. It also says down at the bottom of the page,
“Estimated ship date is Jan 15, 2020 PT.

After this product run ends, payment will be collected and orders will be submitted to the vendor up front, making all orders final. Check the discussion for updates on your order.” Assuming that vendor is Lumintop.
Who knows what we’ll get, wait and see I guess.
I would think it would cause alot of headaches for Massdop if they shipped lights that didn’t contain the led you ordered. I did notice that it doesn’t give anymore details other than its a 219B with a warmer tone with superior color representation. No binning information at all. Lumintop list the ti version as a 219BT and a 219CT. :frowning:

Oh that Stinks. I still may pass since the switch is so sensitive. Thanks!

welcome
I encourage you to form your own opinion from personal experience

for the price of the light, I dont think you can lose…

a lot of us enjoy the eSwitch very much… dont be dissuaded by posts from people who create FUD

LOL….FUDD !..… couldn’t help myself… :person_facepalming:

I just checked to make sure I wasn’t creating any FUD.
But you can lock the light out by unscrewing the head just a 1/8 of a turn.
Unscrewing the tailcap does nothing.

Thanks!, thats another good bit of Tool Lore, with several features…

1. If I unscrew and retighten the head, while the light is switched ON, it will advance modes too, no FUD!

and,
2. if I turn the light off at the head instead of the tailswitch

Next time I tighten the head, the light will be ON (no memory)

and

3. If I only unscrew the head a little, I can press the head to the body, for momentary on (which I hate, as this also turns the light on in pocket).

Is it a Feature or a Bug, when a Feature Bugs ME?
I unscrew more than a little, to defeat the undocumented, seldom mentioned, momentary on, feature/bug, that all twisties have. Even the infamous Fenix E01…

but I digress
now back to the Tracking Update on my CU Tool:

Hello Copper Tool,

Your item arrived at a shipping partner facility at 12:00 am on November 24, 2019. This does not indicate receipt by the USPS or the actual mailing date.

I bet it gets here in time for Xmas

And now for some Real FUD

If you dont buy the CU Tool NOW, you will NEVER get a chance to buy it at this price again… lol lol lol

I just ordered the black aluminum with Nichia and added expedited shipping to bring the total up to $30 to qualify for the $20 discount.

I only saved $15, but I’m more likely to use the much lighter aluminum version for hat brim use than copper or titanium.

congratulations!
did you choose High CRI?

another really good option for a hat is this version w pebbled Tir,
https://www.amazon.com/LUMINTOP-Flashlight-Pocket-Sized-Waterproof-Backpacking/dp/B07G98XCG4

but it does not have a High CRI option… and it is MLH w memory,

not LMH w no memory like the massdrop version.

choices are good

I got the high CRI version of aluminum. I hope the output on medium is high enough for my intended use. High doesn’t last very long. The low CRI version tested 30 lumens higher on both high and medium, IIRC.

I can’t abide with MLH mode sequence.
