Favorite movies of all time ?

Hmm, never saw the first one but grabbed this to watch… later.

Just perusing, I caught his cameo, too.

Enter The Dragon

Bruce would have been 79 today. RIP to the Master

Forbidden Planet.

The Omega Man.

Quatermass and the Pit or Five Million Miles to Earth US

In addition to my previous comment:

Outlaw Josey Wales
The Gift
The Professional
Searching for Bobby Fischer ( don’t know why—just liked it)

Lawrence of Arabia.

I saw The Gift (2000).

I really liked this movie.

The music was great and the acting was superb.

It's a fairly simple movie, but I appreciated that it had a twist.

The twist isn't mind-blowing, but it made the film a lot more interesting.

In the Gift—- Hillary Swank and Keanu Reeves were awesome —- giovanni ribisi was out there

I liked Giovanni Ribisi's performance.

He was, after all, playing a crazy person.

Best movie ever made, ‘The Lives of Others’ my favorite movie, ‘Cool Hand Luke’.

Zulu - 1964.

I saw 1917 (2019).

It is pretty impressive, and epic.

The music is very nice, as is the acting.

Of course the cinematography is amazing.

A lot of the movie reminded me of The Revenant (2015), which is a high compliment.

I saw Joker (2019).

The film is very good, but the mood is very dark for a comic book movie.

The acting and music are excellent.

The movie was done very well.

The movie kinda hit too close to home as mental illness runs in my family, I am mentally ill, and I know a fair number of mentally ill people.

Most mentally ill people are not criminals or violent, but of course there are exceptions, and that's kinda what this film is about.

Every film I’ve seen !

I’d like to recommend this one: Fresh (1994).

In the film, the character Fresh uses the same system of logic and strategy found in the game of chess to devise a plan to save himself and his sister from the cruel and harsh underworld of drug dealing and drug use.

And this one: Idiocracy (2006).

Private Joe Bauers, the definition of “average American”, is selected by the Pentagon to be the guinea pig for a top-secret hibernation program. Forgotten, he awakes five centuries in the future. He discovers a society so incredibly dumbed down that he’s easily the most intelligent person alive.

I'm with you-same situation as me. Been on full SSD since 2005 for mental (lack of!) health problems. So I like dark movies.

Joker (really hit home because I was bullied for most of my school and work life) Very cathartic.

Taxi Driver

The Shining

Session 9

Anything Batman

Anything Martin Scorsese

Most sci-fi

Overall favorite: North by Northwest (beautiful blonde, Hitchcock and the 20th Century Limited-what's not to like?) The camera angles at Mt. Rushmore are to die for.

Delicatessen: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0101700/

Another masterpiece from Jean-Pierre Jeunet, the one who made Le fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain (Amelie)

I saw Knives Out (2019).

It is excellent.

The acting and music are great.

I love movies that are murder mysteries that have a good twist in them.

The murder mystery genre is not as popular as it used to be, but this a good one.

I just noticed something...

The last three movies that I have seen have been amazingly good (and are in this thread.)

That doesn't usually happen to me, but the three movies did get very good scores on IMDB.

Probably my most liked movie of all time is “The Crow”. There’s more behind the making of the movie with Brandon’s death that makes it memorable but the movie itself is what I think makes it the best.
“Braveheart” is a close second in my opinion.
