MF01 Mini / MT07- Mod/Upgrade - Copper Heatsink Cover Plate

Interested in two pieces!

I am interested in one as well.

Please send one of the prototypes to someone who is qualified in runtime data analysis. we are all interested in the tangible performance

^ this. I have the copper/stainless version and the throttling isnt too bad to my eyes so far, but id like to improve it if possible and worthwhile.

Sehr gerne, der Versandweg ist auf jedenfall sehr zĆ¼gig innerhalb Deutschlands. Dauert leider noch etwas bis es soweit ist.

Yes, I would like to send one sample (half price + shipping) to someone who would like to do additional testing and provide some detail results like runtime graphs etc. But so far no one has offered for it. Please feel free to contact me if there is somebody who want to do this.

In the meantime I started to upgrade and build up my own testing environment. In a few days I will provide (update post #1) runtime graphs with direct comparison of the results in different scenarios, before and after the mod.

Interested in 4 pieces!

I sent a PM about testing

I would like 1 please.

Thank you!

Shipping price is good. Interested. My mini also steps down rather quickly.

The heat from the AMCā€™s seem to be flowing very quickly to the temp sensor (inside the MCU) which is directly on the other side of the driver.

We dont know why it flows so quickly, but the best theory is a combination these 2 things:

1. The AMC chips are not touching the battery tube or body so they get hotter than normal.

2. Maybe there are vias too close to the legs of the MCU (the MCU absorbs heat through itā€™s 8 legs). The vias might be transferring heat directly from the AMC to the MCU, which is not good.

This new copper piece adds mass to the AMCā€™s making their temp go up much slower. This prevents the MCU from heating up so fast.

Here is the thread where the problem was discussed.

Yes thank you ! I later read more attentively carefully ā€¦ But damn it, why did the manufacturer not take care of this? Indeed, before selling a product, it must be thoroughly tested ā€¦ as a person, before a serious fight))

Iā€™ll take 1

Thanks

Interested in 1.

thank youā€¦

Vinh sells these lights and I believe not just a few. Maybe he would be interested in buying a number of cover plates?

Please add another heatsink for me, 2 in total. Thank you.

interested i will take one

Iā€™ll take two pieces

If I understand correctly, we will need a magnet to ensure contact between the battery and the driver. But in this case, there is a danger that the magnet will make a short circuit to the custom radiator.

I thought he also makes protective stickers, but generally with this plate a magnet is a bad idea and its not needed as the positive button is raised

I sent Mateminco the CAD files, I hope they decide to use them on next batch or even replace it on any future lights leaving fab after they got them made
