While weāre not taking names yet for a GB list, it is to see if there is interest in a micro-LT1 for those wanting similar features, quality, and purpose design in a much smaller lantern for backpacking, canoeing, kayak camping, or any need where space is limited and size & weight are critical. While it will have less output and less run times than the full size LT1, it will still be far better than any other mini/micro lantern of the size range available on the market.

Definetely interested :), waiting for 2 LT1 now, one for parentās xmas gift.
Would be nice as a work light for small spaces as well. Attach to the underside of the car hood to illuminate the engine bay. Stand it in a corner in the under-sink cabinet while you work on the plumbing. Or even hang it in the closet that doesnāt have a light already, when youāre looking for something to wear and itās dark. Also great for night time trips to the toilet or to get a snack from the kitchen without turning on bright house lights.
DavidEF, I like your thinking. A high powered magnet at the base might be nice for those vehicle and plumbing repairs.

No-no. No 14500 powered things. I have a few 14500 powered āregularā flashlights and while I like the physical size, I do like the limited capacity of that size cell. I guess we all have features that are most inportant to ourselves.
Myself, I would want nothing less than an 18650. Someone mentioned a little ways back that they would like an 18650 light as they backpack and would swap a cell between this new compact lantern and their headlight. I can see the advantage to that, as much as I also like the idea of using a 21700 cell for the new compact lantern.
I am not certain I would buy either an 18650 or a 21700 powered small lantern though. Thatās my practical side showing through and overpowering my āWow! Cool! I love that and want oneā not so practical side. I must admit to also thinking about what I might cobble together myself. :person_facepalming:
