My Vapcell S4+ Analyzing Charger photos and observations

A group buy is being negotiated, let’s hope both parties come into terms, and we all win.

I’m also interested for this charger.

If the group buy is available before my backordered s4 ships I will cancel and do the group buy.

I have been testing on this charger for a couple of weeks and will soon publish a review.

Looking forward to it. There could be no other charger review I’d trust more.

Appears to be another decent charger than can Not display all 4 channels of info at once like the Opus which is my favorite charger.

With 8 values for each battery it would have to be a fairly large screen to show everything.

So true…very difficult to have them both ways…unless the screen is substantially larger but also substantially smaller letters and numbers to cram ALL values unto the screen all in a simultaneous manner.

The Opus shows All Four batteries and then to look at what value you want[mAh/time/Voltage/. ECT.] you just have to press display and it shows all Four batteries again as it pertains to that. There may be one or Two others that do that, most do not. Xtar Dragon will show two.

This is a good discussion for the relatively new to the hobby or to those who are planning to upgrade to 4-bay analyzer charger:

With one cell loaded, the S4 shows all parameter values without clicking any button, while the Opus does not, but has to be clicked to show each parameter.
With two or more cells loaded, the reverse happens, but, the number of clicks to go to all parameters on each bay for the S4 is just about the same with the Opus when you want to view each parameter while on a single value parameter shown on all four bays.

Matter of UI choice preference though.

Of course the S4, since it is a current generation analyzer, it can cover more parameters, much clearer/brighter screen display, more charging capacity ( up to 3A x 4) and much more cell size accommodation (up to 21700), and some more.

Will it charge vapcell 21700 5000mah battery? The positive terminal of those batteries were low,and i could not charge them with my xtar vc4.

Your Vapcell cannot be more recessed as my Samsung 21700…here is the answer to your question:

Remember when even the SkyRC MC3000 had contact issues with flat-tops too? Yes, this Vapcell S4 does make positive contact with the 21700, and all my other flat-tops. See why in the photos below:
SkyRC MC3000 left, Vapcell S4+ right:

The Samsung 21700 inside the bay still has plenty of room to spare, up to 75mm.

Thanks tatasal.I could see clearly the upper part of s4 plus positive contact point protuding more than my xtar Vc4

The vapcell 21700 5000mah positive terminal quite low compare to other batteries.

Im glad im making the right call.Still waiting my s4 plus to arrive. Thanks for uploading the pictures. It does helps me and maybe others too. Thanks again.

How does this compare to the Miboxer C4[–12] and Zanflare C4?

Can’t wait to read HKJ’s review. Curious about IR measurement accuracy/consistency.

Consistency is good.

I tested the IR of my unsused, brand-new Samsung INR18650-25R. No rolling nor pressing of sliding negative contacts on all occasions, just pulled back cell to lose contact then release.

The Miboxer C4-12:

Hi Henrik,

Nice to see you around here with us as always!

The right-side mounted Manual or Auto Charging Mode selector.

Will manual charging allow a lower storage charge termination (3.6 ~ 3.7 v) to be set?
