Can’t wait until they start expanding/selling in the US their smaller G-Shocks, like some of the JDM sqaures and the GA-2100:
I’ve really been looking at the Lineage line from them too, solar and atomic time in a much cheaper but still great looking watch. Some even have stopwatch and timer functions on the digi display I think.
They are quite cool looking, if you ever need any help just pm me. I can get one to you if available in UK. You wont be the 1st i have shipped stuff for, not just flashlights, Treg parts and all kinds(not to make profit to add, just to help a fellow brother out). I keep pondering another square, maybe 5000 or 5610. I also like the titanium camo flavours, but damn those are pricey. If i was to ever spend £1000+ on a single piece, as much as i love G shocks, i see just cant see that amount of value. Even if they go up over time. Guess i am saying i love them……….but not that much haha
Yeah those “boutique” squares are cool looking, but a hard pill to swallow when there are better performing Gs for the same price with more sensors and features.
I haven’t personally. As for sapphire , on watches the sapphire is quite thin which can be more prone to shattering . However it is of course more scratch resistant. If it’s not going to get beat on, maybe dress kind of watch. I would be happy to pay $20 for sapphire, so my answer would be yes. Unfortunately I can not tell you how good(or not) those watches are. But bare in mind, you can get nice used seiko/citizen dress style watches for around the same cost(usually not with sapphire though). Just a thought . Those have a strong history.
Thank you for your insight.
I have 2 watches only, imagine that!
On my Skagen 809 the super special stap is broken, again, and on my Traser P5900 the clockwork is kaput, again.
(And I’ve mad ne straps for that one already as the faux leather part gave up).
Got that one for $108, the cheapest watch with tritium markers at that time.
I just love that detail but atm it’s more like $180, minimum.
So I liked the look of that darkened steel band but I have no clue how durable that is.
Oh, another fact, I have rather girlish hands, that 38mm Traser was perfect for me, this Carnival says 39mm.
Not so easy to find watches smaller than an old USSR allarm clock these days.
Everything must be huge, the watches, the “phones”, the cars.
I prefer my Sony XZ1compact and a seperate mp3 player, I’d love my Mazda Miata back (not so good with kids) and I want a smallish watch.
Adahn if you’re looking for a field or flieger style watch San Martin’s are fantastic. They have Seiko-level or better lume on all their models and offer their flieger in quartz or an automatic NH35.
Happy Birthday wle, very nice gift there, wear in good health.
Adahn, maybe not your style(dont know) But for excellent value, tough as old boots, check the russian watches out called vostok. Lots of different ones, but $50 or so gets you a new automatic. They can go to several 100 bucks, some chronos etc. But bang for buck, little different, worth a look.
