[Q] Manafont shipping

Your right, the experiences do differ. But as mentioned, we really are at the mercy of HK or China post. Manafont usually ships out within 24 - 48 hours in my experience. But as we see, this is not always consistent. Circumstances, I guess.

The last shipment for me never left HK for 6-7 days after Manafont processed. Usually only about 3 days for that. I always pay the extra $2.00 for registered airmail because it provides a tracking number that continues to Canada post. It's no faster, but I know where it is.

Welcome to the cool kids' club, chrootz!

Thanks raccoon city...

FYI. I received Manafont responded my email regard the status on shipping. Now, I just found out. Here is......

Thank you very much for your patience.

I understand your concern about the deliver status of your order. Your order # 0406KFIM was dispatched on 7-Apr-2012. Delivery to USA from Hong Kong typically require no more than 4-5 weeks.

Slight delay might affect the delivery due to recent cargo space shortage specially for Air Mail to destination in USA. Your patience and understanding are highly appreciated.

If you can not receive the delivery in near future, please contact a nearest post office during business hour to recover the parcel. It might be returned to Manafont if it remained uncollected for too long.

Aloha and welcome to BLF chrootz!

I'm still waiting for my Manafont order dispatched on 3-19. I used to get orders from them in about 2 to 2.5 weeks. Oh well......

Shipments from overseas seem to be running extremely slowly this spring. My last DX order took nearly 2 months from the date shipped. I'm still waiting on my most recent MF order that was shipped on March 17.

I'm wondering if many of these delayed shipments are not so much the retailer's fault as it is their postal services. Seems everyone is shipping slow right now. I'm a bit concerned about receiving my Manafont order (placed Apr. 17th) in time for my upcoming cycling/camping trip (leave June 3rd). And dummy me got goofed up while editing my shipping address and didn't notice that the "registered airmail" checkbox got un-checked! I've emailed customer service telling them it was accidental and seeing if I can add it now - no response yet.

Dispatched doesn't always mean dispatched, sometimes it means out of stock (maybe you will blame HKP) How can you know. HKP usually takes about 10 days for me. West Coast

Manafont have definitely been slower for me lately. Used to average 2 weeks, last three orders have taken 4-6 weeks. FWIW, all were 'dispatched' (allegedly) within three days of ordering. Hmm.. :\

same here. averaged 2-3 weeks up until this CNY. has taken 5-6 weeks since then. all dispatched within a few days.

I still waiting for two manafont packages (26.March/27 March dispatched). My Dinodirect order, where I buy 5 days later arrived 17. April.

I'm waiting for some batteries & a charger that was dispatched (supposedly) on the 26th March

Still my fav drop-in is the Manafont XML 3 mode ---- just be prepared to wait

Got an email from Jim this morning. He has upgraded my order to registered airmail by adjusting my Manafont Points balance. I thanked him and then asked why it is taking so long for this order to be dispatched (shipped) - it's been a week now since I placed the order.

I received the Tank 007 today. It was dispatched on 05/04/ 12. Took awhile but it came and was worth the wait. It is brighter than my LD01 or iTP A3. I have some 10440s on order that should get here soon, but my real need is the charger on order from Manafont. It is about a week behind the 007 so maybe next week.

I am not displeased by the time for Manafont to deliver. I knew that when something had to come from China it would take a few weeks.

Everything arrived today 25th April. It was all perfect, just a little slow. Still a lot quicker than DX, I ordered a flashlight off them mid March and still not here.

With the way fuel prices have gone lately, overseas airmail has gone to completely filling a cargo bay before wheels up. From past experience as a UPS wage slave years ago, the postal handlers will try and jam every last little bit of space in the shipping container before putting it into the load line. So if your order happens to get into a container that takes longer to fill completely, it may languish in the line if it's not priority mail. And with Hong Kong acting as a conduit for the manufacturing of the mainland, their workload has got to be enormous, so things can get sidetracked or overtaken by bigger priorities.

Got another email from Jim. Says the UF-H3 headlamp is out of stock and he's waiting to receive it. My special instructions to "please inform me of any out of stock items" held up the entire order. He said normally the order would have been split to ship what he had in stock.

So now I've asked when the UF-H3 is expected to be in stock to ship because I need to get it shipped from HK/China ASAP to be sure I have it for my trip. I told him if he can't have it by May 1st, then I'll have to cancel. Seems HK Equipment is my next best bet to order from. I found no US sellers with it.

Actually, that is VERY good turnaround! I'm still waiting on my order from MF that shipped on March 17! My last DX order took 2 months just for the shipping...

Still waiting! What the hell happened to Manafont? Tsk, tsk, tsk.

My last two order from manafont took around 21 days i think it was a bit slower due to the rise in amount of stuff people post during easter holidays.

Ive always found them to dispatch orders quickly, Once i had an order sit there for a while i contacted them, canceled the order Jim refunded me and i brought another item that was dispatched in a couple of days.

Communication is the key and we can no blame poor communication or planning, busy holiday periods, custom delays at either end or hong kong mail on manafont.

Mail always slows down at the end and beginning of the year and holiday periods.
