Lumintop USA Amazon deals

Why over $27, did you have to pay sales tax?

I did order a second B01 at 55% off. I should be set for bike lights.

Yes, I paid 8.75% sales tax. I thought all of the states paid sales tax for online purchases.

If sold by Amazon itself I pay sales tax but from other Amazon vendors I don’t unless they are located in my state.

Went ahead and bought a TD15S, not sure if the ones I have now have the second switch on the side.

Hmmmm, I wonder if it’s just a California thing,

I pay sales tax on every online purchase, and most of my Amazon deals have been through third party vendors. I even pay sales tax on purchases from TwoSun Knife Company on eBay, and all are from China.

All the leeches just have to get their teeth into you…

I’m fine paying state sales tax. Sales taxes are essential to a state’s survival.

Over the last 12 hours have seen the ED20-T quantity in stock grow from 2 to 4 to 8, who knows how many they have.

A state can charge sales tax on out of state internet purchases if it chooses. It can’t compel the vendor to collect the tax unless the vendor has a substantial presence in the state.

Forbes:

In 2018, the Supreme Court lessened Quill, but as far as I can tell the new rules are still being implemented. (I am not a lawyer, if you need legal advice, see one).

southland, those 3 I think are the best of the lot with the deals also. Thank you

I think I saw a headlamp with that deal as well HL18 $60 with 55% off coupon $27

Got my ED20-T today from Amazon, was shipped from China for some reason so it took awhile. Just wondering if anyone else’s didn’t come with a manual? Don’t really need it but it’s just odd not to get that with a Lumintop light. It’s a nice light for less then $13, holster is a bit too tight tho, might just use it with the FW3A instead.

I ordered 2 of the ED20-T for $20.70, and before they arrived, I ordered 2 more, when they went on sale again for $11.70.
I received the first two in 4 days from ordering, and did 8 hrs of burn-in, on high mode, on each of them, and they both failed with the same symptom of only the momentary button functioning. Power switch was completely non-functional. So you’re left with a 750lm momentary light.

Tail cap driver retaining rings did not loosen, on battery swaps, like the second order of 2 ED20-T did, that were shipped from China, 3 weeks later.

I returned the first 2 ED20-T I received, that failed, back to Amazon, for full refund.

I received the second order of 2 of the ED20-T, in 3 weeks from ordering, from China. One of them was missing the orange lanyard and o-rings. And they both appeared to be factory refurbs, by the appearance of handling, and very tiny nicks in the anodizing. Not nicks from being dropped. But essentially new looking.

I have burned both of them in, for 20 hours on high mode, cycling the switches periodically. Neither have failed yet. But they both have the annoying problem of the tail cap driver retaining ring loosening, upon removing the tail cap, for battery swaps.

I need to put a small dab of lock-tite on them, once I confirm they too, don’t fail.

I will probably do another 10-12 hours of burn-in, but as it looks now, Lumintop may have repaired and returned these back to Retail sale. Which seems a bit under-handed to do. But for $11.70, I’ll be happy with them, if they resolved the power switch issue, and they continue to function.

I really like the ED20-T size, and it being a non-turbo 750lm light, with dual tail switches. And it can be weapon mounted.

If you remove the rubber tactical ring, it looks like a 18650 version of the Lumintop Tool AA 2.0, but with dual tail switches.

Nice design, and a bit unique, with having the driver in the tail cap.

If you read ED20-T YouTube comments, others have experienced the power switch failure issue, as well.

Amazon seems to have removed all the older reviews regarding the ED20-T, since this item has been released in spring of 2015.

I shouldda ordered more…

Don’t recall whether/not I got a “manual”, as I almost never even look at ’em. Either the light works intuitively or it doesn’t.

Wondering if the clip comes off. Seems awfully tight, that I can’t even get it to spin, but didn’t try prying it off yet.

Might be good with a deep-carry clip (the 1buk special that fits S2+es), but as-is, no. Just no.

Here is the manual for the Lumintop ED20-T: ED20-T Manual pg1 & pg4

ED20-T Manual pg2 & pg3

This manual is from this review of the ED20-T: Lumintop ED20-T Review

The only function that isn’t obvious. Is the second way to access the Strobe/SOS function.

The obvious way is:
With light OFF: Press and hold POWER switch to access Strobe mode. Press Momentary switch to select between the Strobe and SOS.

The second, non-obvious way to access Strobe/SOS is:

With light ON: Press and hold MOMENTARY switch and the light goes into Strobe mode. Quik press it again and it selects SOS. Long press/hold of it again goes back to whatever brightness setting it was in, before you selected to go into Strobe mode.

Check the holster, my lanyard and o-rings were stuffed in there. Also agree pocket clip is way too tight. Thx for manual link.

Yes, I found the lanyard and o-rings in the holster of one of my lights, but the other had nothing in it anywhere.

That and the fact that both my tail cap driver retaining rings were both loose, leads me to believe that the tail cap driver was repaired or replaced(factory refurb) by Lumintop, and sent to me as Retail/New.

The first two that I received in days(not 3 weeks from China) from Amazon, were indeed New/Retail. And the tail cap driver retaining ring did not loosen on either of them, on battery swaps for the 8 hours of burn-in. Then they both failed after approx. 8hrs burn-in. And their being New/Retail, is probably why they may have failed like the MO/History of these lights has been. Both of them had o-rings and lanyards, and were in new/pristine condition. They also were $20.70, and not the $11.70 that I paid for the ones that I received from China.

So far I am satisfied with the two ED20-T lights that appear to be refubs from Lumintop/China, since they are still working after 24 hours of continuous burn-in on high mode(with battery swaps of course).

Yeah, like I said, no need to even bother to look at the manual.

Yeah we’re flashaholics so figuring out a simple UI is a cakewalk, I was just wondering if anyone elses came that way, thought it was odd from Lumintop especially, but seeing the other posts and the el cheapo price and others missing stuff I do think they are possibly refurbs, for the price I can’t complain.

I got the ED20T and it’s a great light, but the double switch on the tail is pretty annoying about 80% of the time I hit the adjust not the power. they are slightly different put by the time you feel carefully it easier to just push it and hope for the best. You would assume with two buttons total and a single choice I should hit the correct button 50% of the time. Well, like the USB cables I always seem to have to try three times.
