[1900k edition is in!] WTS: 1900k-5800k 5mm LED 95+ CRI

Just ordered Surefire KL2 head. Uses 5mm LED’s muahahahaha

Rgwn your GB’s made me bought extr stuff

Next host: Sunwayman R01A. Not potted, details in CPF. Ordered a couple of them.

Where did you get it?

Only the gold color is available, as of now.

I did the Sunwayman mod on CPF. Other single AAA lights may be similar internally. I really enjoyed that light, although unfortunately mine died in from a 5’ drop. Hopefully, I was just unlucky, as I think a diode on the driver might not have been well-soldered originally.

The drive current seems to be right around 25mA.

SB Flashlights also has the Klarus Mi02 on closeout right now for cheap. Shipping cost is reasonable, too.

I don’t know for certain, but I don’t think it has a potted driver, so modding it should be similar to the Sunwayman R01a.

Another source would be

https://flashlightshop.de/product_info.php?products_id=8510&osCsid=3471cd3c9e8c337614fb72446463c1ef

More expensive, tan & grey-olive.

amazon also has them

(from NC, USA)

Any sources for the Klarus Mi02 in Europe? SB Flashlights takes $23 s&h :person_facepalming:

A black one is on its way to become a 5x00K.

Edit: My camera cannot capture the colors right. The LEDs are actually nrgwn’s 2300K and 3400K LEDs

Edit2: The nice engraving was done by the dealer - flashlightshop.de :-).

Were you thinking those lights cannot tailstand?

Digging those keychain lights. What brand/model?

Those are the Sunwayman R01A.

Alright, all the shipments sent to U.S. on Dec 1 are now officially write-offs (at least for the tracking begins with LX——-), as the PO has reported to me.

The replacement will be shipped out accordingly.

I received mine today !!

They’re lovely.

Any news on this yet?
Would be nice for a headlamp / work light, maybe mounted on reading glasses.

Yes please :)

I bought some 5800K, then some 3400K when it became available so now i want the 2300K but would like to wait for the 4000K if there is a chance they'll be available soon.

4000k samples is still on its way to djozz for testing.

I don’t know in which pile in which part of the world they are but this package is really slow, sorry about that. I will check them as soon as they get in.

rngwn accidentally posted this in my BLF contest thread so I’m just moving it here so the relevant parties are publicly notified.

Thank you :+1:

Looking forward to getting mine - I already have the 3400K rngwn sent me last year, and they’re really nice

I’d be interested in 4000K / 4500K / 5000K if any of those became available… :innocent:

Finally the 4000K samples arrived. And these are a surprise. I checked 3 leds at 30mA.

*First, they are not 4000K but 5000K, what is a disappointment because that makes them less special.

*The beam is nice and smooth, I checked three leds, and there are no visible tint shifts over the beam, one of the 3 leds has a slight unevenness in the hotspot, which would annoy a purist but does not affect a normal user. The other two beams were perfectly smooth.

*output: 15 lumen at 50mA, 120mA does not kill the led. (no output curve is not measured yet)

*Tint and colour rendering, see for yourself:
Led1 CCT=4960 duv=+0.0009 CRI=98.6 R9=98.3 R12=79 Rf=93.7 Rg=100.8
Led2 CCT=5000 duv=+0.0013 CRI=98.4 R9=98.3 R12=88 Rf=93.7 Rg=100.6
Led3 CCT=4960 duv=+0.0014 CRI=98.5 R9=97.7 R12=81 Rf=94.2 Rg=100.9

So tint very close to the BBL, and extreme good colour rendering.

So another great led from rngwn, but unfortunately not the expected 4000K

The beam btw is much narrower than the Yuji leds, maybe this is a 30 degrees led. Beam (30mA) at 30cm from wall:

On my tablet it looks like the center is a bit rosier and the edge a bit greener, this is not what I see in reality, as posted above there is no obvious tint shift at all in the beam.
