No idea, ordered it and that’s how it came. I ordered the NS53A version from Nealsgadgets, box was labeled properly and it’s certainly bright enough that I think I got the right thing.
interesting… Based on the fins and the effeciency of 3 xhp50s, I guess it may be able to hold about 2000+lms. It would be nice for daily use if it can memorize the mode
Anyone else got theirs? Anyone still waiting for it? Any more observations on this fascinating item? My favorite supplier is still waiting on these to arrive.
I am excited about getting my hands on this little screamer.
Can someone move this topic thread to the new 21700 section of this forum.
I got mine quite some time ago. I’m currently camping, as a group of us were sitting around the campfire, I took this pocket beast out and put it on turbo. The comment I received by most was “that’s ridiculous”
This thing puts out a massive wall of light. I can easily light up our entire campground and even the adjacent campground about 80 yards+ away.
One thing I can confirm, even in low temperatures like 40 degrees farenheit, this thing heats up QUICK. The head becomes too hot to touch between a minute or two. After two minutes the body starts to get pretty warm but can still be handled if held near the bottom. This light packs a punch.
Thanks. I sent a serious inquiry to the email address that is shown at the bottom of NGs’ web page, asking if this exciting item is in stock and ready to ship.
"I am crazy about it." Me too, enough to get a few to make as gifts, but I want to avoid possible unknown protracted lengthy waiting period with a supplier that I do not have experience with. My favorite supplier has not been able to get this item for about two months now.
It is my fault for not jumping on this exciting item when they were in the pipeline.
I’m just going to reiterate what I said earlier, be careful giving these as gifts. It’s an awsome light but it’s a potentially dangerous hotrod. It gets crazy hot, crazy quick and accidental activation is absolutely capable of starting a fire.
Kidding aside, it’s available anywhere from 3000k to 6500k but the crazy 9900 lumen version is only available in 6500k. I’d love a warmer lumen monster but this thing is so silly the tint and CRI don’t really matter, at least to me. I have other lights for quality, this one is all quantity.
Closer to triple. I did get one of them, when it became apparent that I can’t get this item after waiting a few weeks or more. I emailed Neil, asking if this light is in stock and ready to ship, no reply yet. Also, this light should have a little bit more throw than the Nightcore. I want to do a side-by-side comparative review of this light and the Nightcore, but I can’t get my hands on this light.
How much did you pay for the tm9k? It’s on Nitecores website for $159 right now. I want to say when it first came out it was above $200 but I don’t recall the exact amount.
