Darn it all to heck !!!! I want one .... But which one ?

yeah dude, me too. honestly, for small size, size/output ratio is all that matters. there's not much smaller than a TrustFire R5-A3 that I would go for, with any other feature besides size/output ratio. for standard batteries, AAA is all you have left. ;)

Buy both!

[/CPF] :)

I'd probably go for the AA. 3x the runtime and probably better brightness though with a well-driven R5 in a stainless steel body it is going to get horribly hot.

Actually, at those prices, I'm glad to say neither of them really appeal to me.

Since my Trustfire F22 has gone missing in action, I really fancy the QCG one with an R5 in it, but not at $41.

That gets to be a bit much for a budget light where you don't know if it will even work or for how long. But the AAA has a clip and the AA doesn't seem to, so I might pick it. Seems to do the iTP one better by offering a better LED and mode memory. But the AA will run on li-ion and they don't mention it on the AAA. So if you can't put a li-ion in the AAA, the A3 on a 10440 is going to be brighter than this on NiMH. So if you plan to run li-ion batteries in it, pick the AA.

I did order the N-light neutral B5 and B10 from them just a day or so before Christmas. While they are not really budget lights I could do some simple reviews of them when they arrive. Mainland China shipping does not equal super quick service during the holiday season, but CQG shipped them out very quickly.

I bought both of them

and this one too http://www.cnqualitygoods.com/goods.php?id=1041

I also bought the z1 as well http://www.cnqualitygoods.com/goods.php?id=1004

and because I'm insane ... this one too http://www.cnqualitygoods.com/goods.php?id=1038

I didn't buy the 18650 in stainless because of something don said about how heavy SS lights were..figured a 18650 SS was too much ..

I am waiting on 5 lights from Ric at cnqualitygoods...

my best guess is ..that they will be in my mailbox ...today

this isn't to gloat ...like Medievil who went nuts on outfittercountry on Olights and itp's and jetbeams ..... this is the real reason i simply stared at the olight itp jetbeam stuff for weeks without pulling the trigger ...i couldn't ..no more $ and I'd lost the will to live

Very nice choices, Boaz... Looking forward to your opinions and a review on em :)

- although I have to say when I first saw that knurled to hell AA in stainless I wasn't too excited, but darn if it isn't growing on me now... and it's a clicky!

Buy both.

I just had a $70 bill to pay + there is a $50 one on the way ... so I dont know if I can justify even 1 this month ...

Since I already ordered a Solarforce Skyline 2 , and the little Akoray 102 .. + Drivers + empty pills , + Batteries , cases , those XM-L emitters [ ok most of it in 2010 ]

Im really leaning toward the AAA , if its as good as a ITP ...

I think the AAA is nicer than the itp ... the pwm of the itp bugs me I'm glad to hear they fixed it on the new xpg version but it makes you wonder why they didn't fix it a long time ago

If its slow enough I can see it , but it does not bother me in any shape or form ...

Hopefully well regulated ...

But Ive wanted a multimode AAA with a tail clicky for a long time ...

The price was $33 + 3 for shipping , + waiting for CPF discount + won $26 in the lottery [ WOW = $26 smackers ] SO I ordered it ... WTF ! I dont have a wife or kids or a habit , ok a small flashlight addiction that costs less than smoking or drinking ...

Get the AAA...It's cute, has a clip and it is multi-mode! Yep I said cute lol

The Voice: "If you buy it, they will come." :D

I've sent him a lot of business..we will see if he can deliver the goods ..when we get lights .I'm curious about the stainless steel myself . This will be my first stainless steel light .

It took a lot of time to get here but they came after getting lost in the hong kong post log jam .

The AAA stainless steel light has a nice clip and is a higher shine light but needs a better clicky as other blf members mentioned .it's odd and to small and sorta sucks the light is just fair as far as lil lights go what do you expect / It's tiny and not that interesting ..BUT i haven't put in a 14440 either ..

the Yezl Z-1 kicks some serious butt . it's a 18650 its 3 mode no disco and besides the stupid mild green hue it's a great 25 $ light..

the stainless steel B2SN-light is AA 3 mode 10% $40% 100%xpg-r5 it's not as knurled as I'd like but I like a lot of knurl, it's also not as shiney as you'd think stainless would be .it's a lillte more toned down .the electric switch is much better than on the little AAA light. the output is pretty good and I'm guessing lumens here but I'm probably pretty close at 180 hi/70/30 with a AA eneloop BUT on a 14500 it's almost double .. like 320/120/50 lumens it's so bright I was stunned ..it's bright like 18650 p-60 lights with xpg's //output wise i'm very very impressed ,finish wise i want more knurling and it has some sharp edges top and bottom .i hate to call them sharp but i personally want softer rounder corners and have thought about going to town with a file and 20 different grits of sandpaper ..it's heavy but not terrible .. the B2s is 100grams .. tint is fine cool white it's a nice light

The B9 is crazy heavy and has the same sharp edges .. much shinier and 1000 times heavier .. it's like a roll of quarters . heavy .did i say heavy , and the same outup as it;s brother .. it screams .. it is very very damn bright so much so it almost loses it's ability to have a low mode since the total output across the board doubles from like 30 lumens to 50 on low 70/120med and 190 /320.. it's bright and the knurling on this guy is 1/4 inch bumps that get your attention .it's pretty big for a AA It is almost the exact same size as the BLF AAY4E light 145grams with a AA nmh same tint as the b2s not a thing wrong with it nothing bad to report just white .Doesn't change on either light , absolutely no color shift no matter how much power ..maybe a lil rosey on low but unnoticable ..

PWM on all lights is undetectable .. thank god !!!

The L2 n-light is maybe the least interesting of them all but not a bad light either it's an r2 18650 and pure knurl head to toe , normal reverse clicky black rubber boot and 3 nicely spaced modes 10 /40 /100% Lumens probably 20/80/200 No disco strobe modes ,no pwm a little bit pink, tint but lots of r2's are so it's not a surprise and it's not terrible either .it's a nice light I can't say much bad about it , it might be nicer in a AA size ,it's very clean lines and softer smoother edges makes it a clean design .

Overall these lights are a step above the regular dx fare and have sucessfully eliminated the sos and strobe for all those who hate it and don't want to pay for it and then pay again for a different driver and then break out the soldering iron.

Thanks for the report ...

Might have to see about the B2SN ....

I put a mechanical clicky [ reverse ] in my AAA and its so easy to us now .. [ use great care = 10440 ] check to make sure it does not short out at the head , needs to be a 10440 with a small button top just like a AA ..

Hey Boaz, thanks for the great report! Do you think you could take a comparison photo of them all side by side? That would be amazing if ya could :)

Boaz - How does the B2SN compare with the Eastward YJ J09? Brightness, spacing, etc...

Sam

i totally agree with the clicky on the AAA is a pain in the a**I got the 2 mode instead of the three and I ordered the 3 in the neutral I don’t know if I got a neutral . I said i’d wait longer for the 3 mode version he has run out of .i waited a long time and got the 2 mode so .i put it away very quickly and haven’t played with it much at all… I got my lights early in the morning ,and it didn’t impress me in the day BUTeverything looks better at night . it is actually looking better … i just want the 3 mode . i think i was pushing the finicky switch thinking … where the hell is 3rd gear ??

I wanted to take some pics of my lights but I sorta see it as bragging ..lets just say ..i have way too many lights

lol. Boaz, this is BLF. We all share the same 'problem'. If you post photos and 'brag', im sure most of us will just admire :)

The photos on cnqualitygoods are excellent but they don't really provide a visual comparison for sizes which is what i was wondering. However I know its sometimes a pain to get photos onto a computer, so no worries!

Boaz - How does the B2SN compare with the Eastward YJ J09? Brightness, spacing, etc...//////

That's an interesting question because they are very similar although my eastward is the 4 mode r3 xpe not the xpg r5 like the n-light b2s They are surprisingly almost the same barring the low low mode ..low med and high ..same same same .But the tints are polar opposites the b2s shows it's little green tint and the eastward shows the pink .not bad at all and . both mostly on lower modes which is better than on high and with a 14500 in the b2s it blows the crap out of the eastward the medium might be brighter than the high on the eastward new battery in the eastward too and it was pulling huge numbers of amps last i checked .24 / .40/ 1.40/2.60amps low low med high eastward on a eneloop@ 1.3 volts a lil low .. ..with the 14500 there's no contest low looks like med and med. looks like high then the b2s goes to high and you start looking for big lights to compare it to .real big ones EDIT::: i did look at all my p60 drop ins .. it smokes every light I have ..all of them the B9 is the same light different body .. they're bright .. big time bright
