10440 Brands?

I seem to be able to find only Ultrafire and Trustfire 10440 batteries. Are those the only brands available? I thought I might get a couple of protected 10440s just for the WOW factor.

I have a Tank 007 on the way and a Fenix LD01. I know that a li-on battery is not recommended for the LD01, but it seems that those that have tried it have not had any problems with it.

i order my stuff almost exclusively from Ch*na vendors (because of FREE shippping) and so far i've seen mostly Ultrafire and Trustfire. You can check DX, DD, KD, MF, etc for other brands: Yezl, FandyFire, ..

My thread on 10440's treats Ultrafire, and i like the built quality of the grey Protected Ultrafire. The blue Protected Ultrafire arent available any longer.

In your country you could find other brands too (AW, ..), unprotected of course. The protected ones are all made in the East (China/...).

I continue to use 10440 in my LD01R4, and once something happens (poof, ..) i would report back in the LD01 review thread.

NOTE: the LD01 review thread doesnt exist yet. haha

Thank you, and i will use the "Fires." Most of my use will be for WOW. I am not out at night normally so the normal levels work for me. I am awaiting the "Slow Boat From China." Until Manafont delivers my charger and batteries I am awash anyway.:)

oof, MF .. delivery was slooow. where were you around Dec 2011? this BLF place was hell of a party and we all ordered from MF and DD and delivery was fast. Lately MF hasnt been a good choice, DD seems to be faster but prices are up.

which LD01 version you got? :)

I have the purchased Ultrafire Protected 10440s that Kreisler recommends and can confirm that they will NOT fit in my Tank007 E09 without modification... That light is not long enough to take protected cells without modding first so read Kreisler's thread closely before you purchase if that's the model you wish to use them in.

Thanks, but I "jumped the gun" and ordered a couple off ebay this morning. Maybe they will fit in my LD01. I am not sure I know enough to mod one. Oh, Well, not a lot of money either way.
