ALL THINGS BUDGET KNIVES

I tried that, holding the 2nd screw with a Torx while unscrewing the 1st screw, then only the 2nd screw comes out, while the 1st still in same position. I’m unable to get the 1st screw both longer in and further out, its totally locket in that position. Think I will need to dismantle the knife, getting out the bolt with with that screw, and then try to get it loose.

Then you’ll need to disassemble the knife so you can access and hold the barrel while you’re untying the screw.
Although, if it is that stuck, there is a chance you will strip or break the screw.
Once dismantled, I would try to hold the screw in a vise and try to rotate the barrel using locking pliers maybe?
Odd, I have a few CH knives and never had any issue with them.

Knife disassembly can be exciting. You never know what kind of fun adventure you might be embarking upon.

Use a soldering iron to heat up the screw so you can melt the loctite, still you may damage the barrel if you need to grip it with pliers, might want to try some thin leather on either side of the jaws

Just dyed the G-10 handles a golden color. TwoSun TS165.

My Future’s So Bright…well, my flashlights are anyways.

Love your Tag line!

Thanks, I updated my location for fun, too.

I had to get in on the TwoSun fun. I got the Ti handled TS38 quite some time ago. Found out it was really really slippery when my hands were a bit damp. To my surprise they have a G10 liner lock version as well. I had no idea. Grabbed it off of Ebay. Besides the pocket clip, I love it. Very grippy. I’ll have to work on that clip though unless, someone knows a clip that fits it. The tip of the clip just sticks out waiting to get hooked on something.

Forgot to add. Saw this new? New to me? TS138. Quite a handsome looking knife.

I really like that color. Looks much nicer!

That is pretty sharp looking. I wonder if there’s some functional intention behind that inset groove on the scale?

Anybody here owns EF branded knives from FT? They are unmarked and are quite budgeted. Are they worth to purchase?

EF brand is junk. But for people who dont know knives it might be sweet.

looks like xiaomi wants a share of every market segment, like samsung.
looks very macho, and a total pain to sharpen.

Green Thorn has excellent quality of the Russian Shirorogorov brothers! https://ru.aliexpress.com/store/2128068?spm=0.8937474.0.0.171f2e0edeGw2p

That’s a Hx Outdoors knife, I doubt there’s any connection with Xiaomi.
Anyway I would buy it from this lady anytime!

Not all ef (Eafengrow) knives are junk. Like everything else, you get what you pay for. I got an EF906 for Christmas & it is a serious instrument. They do a lot of clones which a lot of people are apposed to.
My recommendation is to stick to the titanium handled models which start at about $40. Also look for reviews. LTK on Youtube & a few others review many of Eafengrow knives.

I own a couple of EF (Eafengrow) folders and I like them. They are not as refined as a SRM Land 910plus or 9103 but for less than $20 shipped they are solid performers.

I have an EAB & also recommend it.
A while back, my clip broke. I called Gerber & they sent me a new clip right away. It is a compact & extremely useful instrument. The value is definitely worth the cost.
