Fireflies E07 preview

Even if the position of the LEDs is correct, the position of the optics legs isn’t. In the one you showed there are 3 in the middle, and originally there are 4 on the edges in addition, forming a rectangle.

If you look at the drawings and the measurements you see that it actually has four legs. Similar to this one: 35mm 7 In 1 Module Pmma Spotlight Led Lens - Buy Spotlight Led Lens,35mm Spotlight Led Lens,Pmma Spotlight Led Lens Product on Alibaba.com

I bought a used e07 and it has no candle/lighting/temp calibration modes…is this the simplified UI you are talking about?

I tested my two new E07 additions with the Texas Ace Lumen Tube calibrated with Maukka lights and Sekonic C-800-U spectrometer. Lumens taken at 2 seconds.

The FA3 tint bin is the rosiest SST-20 4000K I've seen to date and I've seen MANY! It's better looking than the FD2 in the FW3A, FB4 in the Emisars, FD2 in the Mateminco/Astrolux, FB4 in the Acebeams but it is still nowhere as rosy as the XP-L HI 5A tint, which is perfection. The copper E07 is gorgeous! It's a must own for any flashaholic! Goes really well with the Red Aux light IMO. Also this time around UCL lens didn't improve the tint much. Only dropped DUV by about -0.0003 to -0.0004, which is not noticeable at all. The UCL lens improved tint much more in the older E07 batches. I guess the lens used in the recent batches are improved from the older batches.

Edit: I just realized that the optic used in my latest two E07 is narrower throw than the optic used in the older E07. Comparing my new E07 SST-20 with older E07 SST-20 and comparing my new E07 XP-L HI with older E07 XP-L HI, it is very obvious that the hotspots from the newer E07 are smaller compared to the hotspots of the older batch of E07 using the same emitter. However, I cannot tell a visual difference in the optics.

So my (new to me, bought used) e07 has crushed the top of my Sofirn 21700…was there any resolution to fixing this issue? As far as i can tell, my version is one of the newer models…

I thought the newer versions was made longer to accept the longer 21700 ? guess not unless for some reason yours isnt new model?

I believe the protected Sofirn 21700 is one of the longest ones out there.

ah that would explain it, but why would anyone want a protected in this light?

it is only a few months old and has the “new” clip thats silver instead of black…i read that was one of the ways to tell it was a newer version

i don’t think its protected? it measures 70mm which seems to be normal for unprotected :frowning:

do u have maybe a 40t or something ? i know in my old e07 that one fits barely but it does, my vapcell 20a doesnt too long… but if the sofirn isnt protected it makes no sense…

not yet, i plan on getting some soon though.

I bought one of the first batch produced. It was pre-Anduril. It had a simpler ramping interface. The one you have sounds like an early version. Could it be these, above, are ‘new old stock’ for sale?

I have the E07 from the first batch. They were all Anduril. I believe only the ROT66 had a non Anduril version.

From what Fireflies told me, the first of the USA warehouse batch had a “simplified” version of anduril but now they are full anduril.

The E01 has full Anduril now as well.

Recently I received a Fireflies E01 with 5000K SST40 and was surprised to find that it no longer has the simplified version but the ‘real’ Anduril with candle, lightning storm and all the blinkies.

I like it better that way.

I just realized that the optic used in my latest two E07 is narrower throw than the optic used in the older E07. Ok, so, now that I’ve read this entire thread, I’ve learned a lot. The only thing that I still don’t understand is the debate on a 30T battery vs. 40T. Without getting really technical, which one is the best for the E07?

both are overkill imo since the light heats up so fast on turbo its of no use really so much highdrains…

30T is for lumen testing only. No noticeable output differenc e in reality. 40T and P42A is best for XPL HI and SST20 std cri versions. Lishen LR2170SF best for SST20 hi cri and 219b
