25500 battery's. Anywhere left to buy them?

I am looking to purchase 2 25500 batteries. It appears these were not a particularly popular battery almost 10 years ago and they seem to be completely unavailable now. I purchased from 3 different websites that claimed to have them in stock but all 3 ended up not being able to get them and refunding me. So does anyone know somewhere I could buy a set of these. Or possibly an alternative? The diameter can be smaller but I need the length the same.

25500 is a very odd size, nobody makes them. Get a 18500, Parametrek lists several models. If the device is old you probably don’t need high drain batteries but check first.

Yeah, was gonna suggest an 18500 and sleeve to keep it from rattling around.

Also, check how much slop is in there due to the springs. If there’s a big honkin’ spring on the driver / contact board, and a big Mag-type spring in the tailcap, it’s possible that by swapping the front spring for a shallow nipple (or even solder-blob) and doing similarly at the tail, you might be able to squeeze in a narrow 26650, or even flattop 21700.

Get creative if you can. Else, just stick with an 18500 and be done with it.

Agree with previous. Having an older device AND “abnormal” sized batteries probably means the batteries never were heavy-duty to start with. Your device may be custom made for the batteries, or vice versa. Go for 18500. A suitable sleeve can be made from almost any material.

EDIT 1: By the way: welcome to BLF.

EDIT 2: check out the battery reviews of HKJ, Maybe THERE you can find a suitable match.

If you can fit an extra 1.0 - 1.5mm width you may go with 26500s for a bit extra capacity. The only ones tested by HKJ are the EnerCig EC-26500HP and the Efest IMR26500 3000mAh , I wouldn’t trust anything not tested by HKJ or another independent reviewer like Mooch. Above 1-2A you are better off with the Enercig because the Efest sags too much.

Thanks all I will look into the 18500s should be fine to put a sleeve in
