ReyLight copper pineapple mini, AAA/10440 flashlight, Nichia 219B 4500K R9080 high CRI LED

Yea I thought it was too low too so I recharged the battery and tested it with another vapcell 10440 but same result.

could the vapcell be a bad battery? do u have another light that runs with that battery to rule out?

What mode is it programmed to? One of the modes maxes out at 50%

good point that would explain 180 lumensā€¦ so double u have 360 then if thats the caseā€¦

guess Iā€™m too late for using the code, just tried it and doesnā€™t work.

It just came into my possession. That was fast! :+1:

Question: Why isnā€™t this LED no longer in production? Or is it? And why isnā€™t or wasnā€™t it used more often? The color is a dream, even more than the Yuji 3200K among 5mm LEDs.

I like this light very much, even if itā€™s not as bright as expected. Surely nowhere near 300 lm.

ReyLight can we get some clarification on the so called 300 lumens when using 10440 when users claim its no way near that?

I wouldnā€™t expect a response for a while since itā€™s a holiday in China for several more days. Really only one sample has been measured which could just be a dud.

Second post is 3rd above...

I used the word measured on purpose.

Visual estimation of lumen output is about as accurate as ā€œseat of the pantsā€ horsepower. IMHO

Iā€™m not saying it doesnā€™t appear dimmer to the user who said so, just that it is not a measurement and human vision is tricky.

There very well could be a design issue also. Iā€™m just saying it a bit early to jump to conclusions.

Coaster is right, my estimation might be wrong. I can only compare with lights that have a different beam and color, unfortunately. Thereā€™s not so much difference between 180 and 300 lm that everyone would see it immediately without direct comparison. And maybe I am influenced by the reported measurement.

Quick measurement in bathroom:

D4V2 SST-20@3000K, 100 lm equal 6 lx

Olight S1R II 1000 lm equal 69 lx

Pineapple maximum = 10 lx, equals between 145 and 167 lm with the above standards.

all measurements done with Benetech GM1020.

Edit: I still might be completely wrong!

I kept it default, so whatever mode it came from the factory as.

Got mine as well today, nice surprise for it to arrive so quickly. Thanks Reylight!

Try changing modes. Lexelā€™s Bistro drivers iā€™ve got had to be programmed otherwise they deliver only 50%.
not reprogrammed but correct group should be chosen from options menu

I lost the manual so donā€™t know how to change modes. I wish Rey would post the manual on his website.

Eight half-clicks, light blinks once, then flickers. Now do one half-click and youā€™re in first mode group.

Reverse clicky switch. Full click to turn on or off, half click (tap) to cycle modes.
Program: When the light is on, quickly half click 8+ times.

  1. Select different modes groups. (1-4 groups)
  2. Turn on or off memory function. (Default is off)
  3. Turn off or on moonlight mode. (Default is on)
  4. Mode order. L-M-H ā†’ H-M-L ļ¼ˆascending or descendingļ¼‰
  5. Reset.
Shortcuts: Quick double clicks = turbo
    Modes groups #1-4.
  6. moon-2-20-100%
  7. moon-10-40-100%
  8. moon-2-10-50%
  9. moon-50-100%-strobe-SOS

this light sure has tricky modesā€¦ way too many imo, why ? aaa light should be easy to use not so many different modes etcā€¦

Itā€™s only 4 modesā€¦it could have done without #4 imo, but someone so where wants strobyā€¦ The crazy personā€¦
