Coronavirus **personal experiences** thread

I think my HT70 had the coronavirus,or was it just shoddy work?

Looks like they did not have enough solder paste, flashback from my TN32 where the LED burnt. Thrunite/Illumns took care of me immediately.

Just got it today.Did not even use 2 minutes and I notice smoke under the lens! One of the LEDS burnt.

I EXPECT a Full refund for a DEFECTIVE product. If not, PAYPAL dispute!

Photo right after it happened. Chemical film is noticeable under lens.

I have been on this forum for a long time but I don’t make many posts, just try to learn from the more experienced. I saw this on the Smart News app on my phone over lunch and with all the paranoia going on with the Coronavirus be careful what you open on your computer or phones.

Coronavirus Can Also Infect Your PCs and Phones — Didn’t Expect This, Did You!

I think it probably drank too much alcohol.

Hantavirus dies pretty quickly, the thing is, where there have been rats and mice there probably ARE rats and mice, so lots of fresh droppings. Personally I try to keep the amount of feces and dried urine I inhale or ingest to a minimum.
“The virus does not remain active for long once outside of its host — less than 1 week outdoors and a few hours when exposed to direct sunlight. ”

I wouldn’t be to concerned with packages from China. You probably should be more concerned with the RSV virus especially if you have very young children or elderly in your family. It’s very widespread this year.

There’s going to be a major outbreak in the United States on Monday. Thousands of people are going to call in sick.
Caused by the Corona Virus and other viruses of the same family such as the Budweiser virus, Heineken virus and …………….
Ground Zero will likely be Kansas City.

Everyone will have to sterilize everything, since your mail carrier also delivers your regular mail plus all of the post offices, airplanes, luggage, airports, etc. OMG the world is ending!!! We need to exterminate the human race NOW!!!

THIS. It’s much more likely to happen than an asteroid strike. I really hope there are some companies looking into specialized boring equipment that can cut into volcanoes to create pressure release openings. Not for lava flows but for gas venting.

Wuhan Coronavirus Looks Increasingly Like a Pandemic, Experts Say - The New York Times

… Closing borders to highly infectious pathogens never succeeds completely, experts said, because all frontiers are somewhat porous. Nonetheless, closings and rigorous screening may slow the spread, which will buy time for the development of drug treatments and vaccines.

Other important unknowns include who is most at risk, whether coughing or contaminated surfaces are more likely to transmit the virus, how fast the virus can mutate and whether it will fade out when the weather warms….

Will only happen if there's $ incentives to do so, or if companies with the resources to do so are in danger of getting affected by those super volcanoes directly (ground zero). I hope I'm wrong.

On the bright side, with the “nuclear winter” that’ll happen when the supervolcano blows and airborne ash blots out the sun, at least we won’t have to worry about “global warming” anymore…

No order from china for a while then…

Saw a documentary a few years back showing all the super volcanoes and at the end they said the biggest super volcano is planet earth itself.

Spoiler alert!

Then we’ll all be crying about global cooling! :open_mouth:

I’m not ordering simply out of protest for their MISHANDLING of this crisis. Given all their technology and CONTROL over everything… the virus shouldn’t have escaped their shores.

The Smithsonian Channel must have aired Super Volcano documentary again
