in the reality…y our view can not distinguish the difference between 255 lumens and 260 lumens for example … to say something, it’s the same as a flat line.
In this graph we are not talking about difference 200 and 260…… we are talking about difference around 10 lumens… Is good comment, but I also comment my point of view. (sorry for disturb you comment )

fwiw, Not all lights that use Constant Current, have constant brightness, here is another example of a light with a wavy output, the Eagletac (uses Constant Current that does not produce constant brightness) in this chart, and also the SRT9 has wavy lines:(more info
Vendors have started sidestepping PWM by using Constant Current. But the brightness is not necessarily constant. Wavy lines are not straight lines:-)
I am reading your comments in past days, seems your are very interested or have a problem with people that have free units…. You have seen my review. You have seen my grahps, some beams,…. are really data, not influence that sample are free or paid.
In any case, if you read enough…. you can see the thread opened here in BLF by Manker guys requestin people for review this and other lights, my name is in the list of people for send this sample, is open information for people that read the forum……
And if you read more and more, you can see that red flaslight is a sample for review, and after that I bought at my cost a grey light with nichia for add data comparison graph nichia Vs Cree.
Very happy to learn with you that you cannot notice the ripples, even though you would notice PWM. I agree, ripples are not something that people notice. I do admit I would prefer to have flat regulated output, like on my Maratac and Tool.

I’ve had nothing but problems with this light. The first (from Amazon) was DOA. Something in the tailcap was preventing a connection. The light worked fine if I shorted the tail, but would not work with the tailcap on. I tried cleaning it with no success. My 2nd Manker E02 (from HKEquipment) had the exact same problem.
If anyone has a suggestion what I should try next, please let me know. It seems that I am the only one having this problem.
Two identical problems… That’s quite unlikely. First thing that comes to my mind is that the battery is too long so the tailcap won’t make contact with battery tube; like physical lockout. Seems unrealistic though; this kind of stuff happens with (protected) lithium ion cells where length varies… What battery are you using? Have you tried just popping an alkaline to see if it works?
You were right…an alkaline worked. But that still doesn’t solve my problem as none of my NiMH batteries (3 different types) do work. Maybe if I put a wire ring in the bottom of the tailcap that will bridge the gap.
The ring might or would work if length is the problem, but that just seems so unlikely, especially because you tried three different types. Nevertheless, which 3 NiMH batteries did you use, and those batteries were not depleted?

I just ordered the E02H, and really wanted the Nichia, but they had none left; so had to buy the Cree version.
Also bought the Cree version, but that was intentionally. My personal belief is that Mankers are a bit steep priced. But your review, and 50% discount, made me pull the trigger. Nice little light, but in no way flimsy.
