Review: Manker E02H (Headlamp-EDC- Keychain, AAA, L shaped, XP-G3 200+ Lumens)

I broke down and ordered the E03H XPL too. I really wanted the Nichia but that sold out quickly.

Still, an AA angle light with magnetic tail, unique built-in diffuser, and regulated output is just so practical for close-up work and too tempting to pass up at clearance price.

Yes, the seller added another 15 pieces to the sale.

I bought another four pieces of E02H. 2x gray with Nichia LED, 1x red with Nichia LED, 1x black with XPG LED.

Mine just came today. Really nice quality little light. Good clip, good headband, strong magnet, so lots of attachment options. Got the nichia 219c and comparing it to the Tool AAA nichia 219bt I think I really like the Tool better. Maybe the tints are just different but to my eye the B is a little whiter and cleaner.

It is very common for users to find the tint of the 219b preferable to the 219c, mainly due to a lower duv value. Differing color temperatures may also play a role in your preference.

No doubt a Manker E02 body with a 219b emitter would have been really well liked by many users.

No idea if it’s practical.
I just like angle lights, and i buy them if they’re not too expensive.

I just ordered the Cree E03H - would’ve preferred the Nichia, but they were gone at the clearance price. Other vendors have the E03H with Nichia at the normal price.

I already have a Nichia E02 - got it when they first came out.

My only other AA angle light is a Rofis R2.

The red Manker E02 with 50% clearance discount plus free shipping arrived 19 days after ordering it.
I was already eying it, but this review + 50% off + free shipping made me pull the trigger.

This is a very nice petite light, without being flimsy in any way. And it has an adequate strong magnet in the …… eh, tail. Comes in handy for those of us who only have two hands.

Thank you Manker, and Budda.

I ordered the E02H on Jan 21st. Still says “awaiting fulfillment” and not shipped yet. Also no replies from them via email, inquiring about their batteries. I would love to know what is going on.

it took 19 days for mine to arrive, you are at day 5.

tracking is not always up to date,
I often receive packages before tracking gets updated

what do you want to know about batteries?

I purchased two from the AliExpress store, and one from Mankers direct website. It’s been 2 months and the original order from bankers website has still been in the mail, I believe it to be lost they say it is fine

Manker website order took 1 month to arrive. Then Aliexpress took 23 days . Just sharing my experience.

I wanted to buy one of their 18650’s, with the u11 I just ordered. They didn’t reply, so I just went ahead with the order, before they ran out.

Probably is on hold because of the Chinese new year festivities, i bought one more E02H(my 2nd) on the 15th(before festivities) and received it today!

Mine has been out for almost two months, and got released from customs in the United States on the 12th of December

you are very patient

If it was mine, I would have filed a paypal dispute after 30 days for non delivery.

and if Paypal declined my dispute,
I would then dispute the charge on my Credit Card (the one I use in Paypal)

true story
that double protection recently paid off, on a non flashlight purchase
(silicone water bottle from Bubi, not recommended, due to bad odor)

when the seller did not reply to my email requesting a return authorization, I opened a Paypal dispute.
Paypal sided with the seller, which I felt was wrong.

So I disputed the charge on my credit card.
My credit card company game me a full, permanent, refund, within 24 hours.

I even got to keep the useless bottle :person_facepalming:

Does anybody know of a red filter, that can be used on the E02?

not specifically

a photography shop might have a red “gel” you could cut to a useful size and use double sided tape to hold it to the glass, no disassembly.

or you could remove the bezel and put the filter still on top of the glass but trapped under the bezel

and if you cant find any red plastic you could buy these sample swatches of photography gels

Lee Filter Swatch Book

there are filters that can also reduce green tint if you got the xp-g3, or at least diffuse it to blend the green corona

Thanks. But I’m thinking Cellophane, with an elasic band. Or, maybe one of those big-assed candy rings. With duct tape.

A piece of a (broken) rear light of a car, motorcycle or bicycle, cut and polished to size might do the trick.

Good material. But I wonder how to make it easy on/off.
