Yes it does. I hope Keeppower has a plan with letting me test a lot of their batteries (more tests are coming) i.e. they will probably be available soon.
And considering that most single 14500 lights has a boost converter (So that they also can work with AA batteries) that will drain the battery to below 0.8 volt, the unprotected cell is a bad ide in most lights.
Oh crap, I totally forgot about that. Thanks for reminding! Indeed, 14500-light with a boost converter would be quite unsafe to use with unprotected cells.
Well, tested them and while they perform admirably, they are just too long to be considered. The lower capacity version is shorter but still can’t dethrone the Nitecore — and to a lesser degree the AW.
Thanks for the clarification bro!
I guess they will be one of the best budget batteries for the price KumaBear is offering. Ill get a set to replace my 14500 Trustfire Flames.
Will be looking forward to see your latest findings 8)
keep up the great work
The KeepPower 14500s we carry were never advertised as Sanyo, and they are listed on our website as having a DLG ICR14500 internal cell. A Sanyo version does exist but we did not claim that our version is Sanyo.
