ReyLight copper pineapple mini, AAA/10440 flashlight, Nichia 219B 4500K R9080 high CRI LED

There are some troubleshooting or fix.

1. tighten or loose the pill a little bit. there might be some bad contact or short somewhere.

2. unscrew the head a little.

3. remove the tailcap and try again.
The switch is press-fit into a copper thing, the switch body is usually at a lower surface. picture below.

Received mine today, beautiful light!

Mine also won’t turn on with any NiMH battery I have, just the 10440 that came with it. Tried tightening/loosening the pill and that didn’t work. It won’t come on with the head loosened a bit either, like it is for some other users.

That’s strange, I will dig it out.

Ordered one

I played around with loosening and tightening the pill some more, and found a spot where it seems to be working fine with NiMH cells now. I got it by loosening the pill a lot, tightening down snug (not tight)and then backing off just a hair.

Can anyone confirm that the LVP works for the 10440? I just found mine at 2.1V and I can’t be certain if I didn’t accidentally click it on and run it down. But even if I did, I would’ve expected it to stop around 2.8V or so.

And i also got mine at last.

sadly NiMh is not this light favorite... :(

Looks like voltage is too low for the driver. Alkalines work great and Liion but NiMh is a no go.

That’s odd, NiMh is what I use without any issue

I did manage to get it lit on NiMh but only up to 2nd or 3rd mode then it just went OFF.

First batch of drivers... Rey will fix it with second one.

Oh yeah i forgot to mention i’ve placed Lumintop IYP365 with 219B and 2xEneloopAAA next to Pineapple Mini with Efest 10440 and guess what, it’s not nearly brighter than on Alkiline.

So yeah, max is not nearly bright as it should be on 10440

Sorry for late reply. The Coronavirus is delaying everything. I have asked the factory to retest the output. Then I have realized there was a mistake, the sample was 219C LED, which had 300 lumens.

Will post the pics for 219B soon.

219B, 240 lumens.

Yeap, that’s more like it. This emitter is pushed hard if it’s 300+lm.

What about NiMh issues?

Going to post about this. Some of the NiMH battery has high inner resistence, the low voltage might not active the MOS and not work prefectly.

We might need a lower threshold for future.

We also need updated present batch of mini’s.

Sorry for the late reply. If your light is faulty, I will send you a new driver with new MOS mounted. Pls pm me your order number or email address.

I just got mine from Countycomm. Didn’t work at all out of the box. Removing the metal part of the switch and pressing the plastic switch directly gets the light to come on in one mode unreliably. Sometimes it does, sometimes nothing. Putting the tail switch end back on all the way gets nothing every time. Same with 10440 and AAA. I don’t know what’s up with it, I don’t want to take it apart and start screwing with it, I’m just going to ask Countycomm for an exchange and hope they are easy to deal with.

There is a plastic insulating piece in the head, have you removed it?

Yea I took the little white disc out first thing.

At this point it seems like there’s a problem with the driver. I was able to screw the head of the Reylight onto a different AAA light body to test and the Reylight will only turn on in high mode, mode switching and programming don’t work.

The button on this one also seems strange, the tail cap with the metal part of the button has to be loosened almost until it falls off before the button press activates the light (but still only in high mode only)
