Wich of these folder knives do you think that have the strongest blade and wich the strongest lock?.
I don't baton it , I use it more like a mini machete .
I have yet to roll the edge or chip it .
I have most of the knives on that list. They are decent knives, no problem using any of them.
Still not what I would choose for daily abuse, or if my life depended on them. There are some things (IMO) you should not skimp on, but as always, YMMV. If I was a cop or a fireman I wouldn't carry an Ultrafire 501b with a KD drop-in. Doesn't mean I don't like and use that light, I'm just not going to use it in that serious of a situation every day.
First, "sorry" to xatu for thinking it was paisley. I kinda thought that it was some vender pushing knives, especially since they weren't linked properly. Plus the thread had quite a few views before I posted that first reply, so I thought maybe some of the more senior members knew something I didn't about xatu.
I did give an honest and friendly opinion about the use of folders in "abusive" situations, but I see now that even that was just a poor choice of words due to the language barrier.
As for when I said I'd avoid anything "cheap", I was thinking, again, in terms of "abuse".
I think that a value oriented knife can serve well in an EDC role. And of course, we all have a limited supply of play money and budget accordingly. This is just my opinion, but I find it much easier to find a value flashlight than a value knife. I think this is especially true when looking at the so called tactical folder. If I had a $100 to spend on a knife and flashlight I'd spend $75 on the knife and $25 on the light. To reverse those proportions would be fool hardy in my experience.
Have you considered a "Syderco Byrd"? The Byrd line of knives is Spderco's 'no name brand' made in China. I own one of there knives which I use as a beater and I'm seriously impressed. I own a lot of nice folders and I'm always on the lookout for good quality, economically priced folders that can be abused. Who wants to trash a $60 knife?

The way of this post wasn't fixed knife vs folder knife, it was of knives on the list wich have the strongest lock / strongest blade?. Or simply wich on your opinion are the strongest/sturdy?. Well, on my opinion, Enlan EL01 is overrated, or it is the model than inmediatly comes to mind but my enlan el03 have exactly the same thick lockbar than el01, the ganzo g710 have a very stiff lock and the i read than the new enlan el08 with a framelock thicker than the liner of el01 could be "the strongest knife made from Enlan (el08)" and perhaps strongest knive of all chinese brands.
From the list we can see axis lock(from Enlan and Ganzo)/liner lock/Framelock, well newly the way of the post wasn't linerlocks vs axislocks vs framelocks, it was only compare the strenghts of these particular knives. And we can see differents steels, 8CR13Mov, 440c and 9CR13Mov.
What about Enloan el01 vs enlan el08 about sturdy lock?
I'll start by saying I'm what is known a Spyderco fanboy. I own lots of Sydercos and they make up the majority of my collection. I've also carried one Endura or another for over twenty years. So it pains me to say this.
I have two Byrds that have never been carried. They are NIB. They were purchased to as counter points to the many Delicas and Enduras that I covet and hoard. The Delica clone is the Meadowlark 2 and the lock up is so horrible and the Endura facsimile is the Cara Cara 2 with G10 scales that is rusting away in the box. Literally. The only other knife that has done this is a CRKT M-16 that is also a safe queen.
And before you guys get on me about not knowing how to care for cutlery, I'll just say that I have over forty years of knife ownership/collecting under my belt and that these knives are in a climate controlled safe.
I'll say again, I think it is a lot harder to be happy with a $20 knife than a $20 flashlight.
And if you detect any similarities between the Byrd and the Navy knives.... well it's up to you to play a little bit internet detective. ;-)
I think some of the better SRM/Enlan knife are not only good for their price... they are good ... period. What's true is that quality control could be a little better, especially on axis lock knives and on backlock knives. (EL02, Navy K631 and some others) It's always great fun to let knowledgeable knife people estimate the value of the better ones... often reaching the $40-100 range. There aren't many flashlights out there with amazing built quality and great materials in the sub $20 range, but there are real gems in those budget knife lineups... you just have to find them. I get that some people don't like the budget brands, because of the whole counterfeit topic.
@cone: no need to apologize.... but since you mentioned yourself that you see Paisley ghosts everywhere ;-) You got a serious case of PP -> Paisley Paranoia .....

i love cold steel knives but, saddly in Europe are very expensive (more than double that in EEUU). I like the cold steel spartan, rajah ii and espada XL (that is based on traditional spanish folder). And they have some very very good fixed knives, it is sad than enlan etc don't make fixed knives by the way.
I find the whole concept of spending amount X for item Y, before reading rewiews and doing some research really strange... I look at what gets the intended job done and then look at what's available on the market. I am more then willing to sell anyone a EL01 for $75 if that does make it a better knife for anyone... 0) ..... j)
I have most of the knives on your list as well. If you are going to “abuse” any folding knife, you may lose a finger when the lock fails. That being said, the Axis lock systems has proven to me in my 20+ years of serious knife ownership to be head and shoulders above all else. I would always take an axis lock or second choice would be a frame lock. Liner locks and back locks would be my later choice. Out of your list, the Ganzo 710 would be my heavy duty choice because of the Axis type lock and great blade design.
I just quit the "abuse" word editing the post for centering post on the knives list and its strongess and not on "If you abuse of a folder knife your fingers will be angry with you" 
or "use a fixed knife, not a folder knife".

Honestly, it's not paranoia in the sense that I'm worried about it. It's more like I almost look forward to a spam thread. It's kinda sick, but those threads were "Bubbles" or "Candy" show up and start asking if we use our flashlights for camping are some of the most entertaining.

--- I don't recommend to do things like these with a folder, use fixed knife (better full tang). All locks can fail, ALL. Remember, your fingers could be angry with you after that!
