Low Price for a Lumintop Tool 2.0 Ti?

$10.93

I ordered & a few hours later I got this.

We feel sorry to admit that we made a mistake on the price of SKU 9720754 (Authentic LUMINTOP Tool AA 2.0 Portable LED Flashlight) you ordered. The actual price is much more expensive than that we advertised initially. The actual price is $40.93. Could you please kindly repay us the price difference? We could give you 4$ as discount, or we could only cancel the item from your order and issue refund for it.

Hope to hear from you soon.

Kind regards,

crystal

Yep, just got the same email. I told them I won’t pay the difference because of their mistake, just ship the lights at the price they advertised.

We’ll see how that goes lol.

Exactly that one

Same email here.
Some one is obviously awake over there, so has anyone got a response back yet after your reply.

Well, their rep admitted it was a mistake and looks like an honest mistake at that for obviously it’s too low to be real.

Let’s move on to some great deals, but not this one haha.

Not for anything, but come on guys, I don’t think it’s a nice thing to take advantage of someone’s shortcomings.

Got the mail as well  Damn I was really hoping they would let my order slide.
I’ll ignore the mail for a little bit, see which reactions you guys get

i konw when a mistake happens, they dont have very good cumstomer service and wont send out the items for that advertised price

they will expect you to pay the rest , or they will cancel the order, they dont care if 50 people bought the item at the reduced price and dont care about all the negitive comments they could receive

the customer is never right in china!

its a shame, because they could get a really good name for themselfs for taking the orders at the lower price, “to win big you have to loose a few times”

if feel sorry guys, i wish you would of got the torches at them prices!

oh well many more lights in the sky(fish in the sea)

That’s a bummer. I was hoping ya’ll would get it for that price. I didn’t try to order one, not a fan of the mode memory but, that’s just a personal preference. It’s a good light other than that.

After seeing the OP I sent a link to a buddy who wanted one but wasn’t willing to pay the normal $40+ for it. He got the message just a few hours after ordering. He passed on the $4 off offer. He did find a knife he liked though so I guess all was not lost.

I always forget to check Fasttech when I’m shopping for something. Haven’t ordered anything from them in quite some time. Never had any problems with them. Though I do tend to drop them an email to ensure a product is actually in stock before I order. They have always gotten back to me in a day, two days tops.

I am not a Lawyer , nor do I play one on the internet or TV.
That said;
Don’t know about the rest of the world but here in USA the consumer laws allow sellers to have waivers such as “Not responsible for unintentional pricing errors” Etc.
Check your Sunday sales circulars and you will see the fine print.
These waivers were pushed into law with help of companies like Circuit City (alive and well at the time) Sears, etc. and internet retailers.

We all knew it was a really crazy price, so to me, no harm no foul. Worth a shot, right?
Have gotten on the good end of enough deals in the last 20 years that I probably used up the luck.
Then again probably not.

I got my first Ti Tool 2.0 pretty cheap but cannot recall exact price.

Just responded to their email with this;

Cancel it and refund the order as fast as I paid you.
Hire a pricing proofreader.

Later,
Keith

I had a few times situation, that price on shop shelf was lower than actual item price.
Every time I paid price as on the shelf.
Mike

Yeah, I don’t think we can demand that they ship at that price. As the saying goes, “if it seem too good to be true, it usually is.” It can easily be an error, and it looks like they’re being easy about cancelling the orders. Hopefully we’ll see the refunds come back quickly through Paypal. Sorry to all those who ordered!

I got the email asking me to pay the $40
I replied cancel

not your fault

the lights have PWM anyway

sour grapes
lol

Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww.

Longuylander (i just got your name! :person_facepalming: ), maybe if we hadn’t all ordered yours would have sneaked through at the bargain price…

I thought about that! If I had just kept my stupid mouth shut, maybe they would have shipped my one and then changed the price. But that’s all right, I already have one in aluminum, and I can put that eleven bucks toward a light that I won’t have to swap out the emitter right away.

I thought you might jump in and start defending another Chinese company again lol.
I think it was dirty tricks ,imo they were slow selling so they dropped the price to get loads of people to order it ,then tell them the bad news ,thinking some people got their hopes up about it & decide to pay full price.
YMMV.

Yesterday I received order confirmation, at the sale price, from Fasstech.

After that I got Fasstech’s email requesting I pay $30 more, I replied:

“please cancel”

no reply (yet), so I looked at paypal transaction history

since I did not see a refund from Fasstech
I disputed the transaction to paypal
informing them the seller requested I pay an extra $30, which I declined

I then received an email from Fasstech stating
“Order paused due to payment dispute”

now it is in Paypal’s hands to make sure Fasstech remembers to refund my purchase
and Paypal now has a report of Fasstech’s activity

I dont care that Fasttech refused to honor the sale,
just want to make sure they dont forget my refund

Did anyone receive a reply after their email?
I just replied that i am not willing to pay extra and just want the light.
If they dont agree i still can take the refund.

But so far no reply

I’ve had no reply yet, and I said I wanted to cancel my order. I will give them a little more time before involving Paypal on this one. I only replied to the email this morning, so they probably haven’t gotten a chance to read it yet.

I did reply, but asked if they would make sure that I wouldn’t lose anything if, in the refund, paypal would nick me for a whole bunch of fees.

After all, okay, I’ll take a refund if I absolutely have to, but if it’s their mistake, I don’t want to be out a few bux as a result.

Kinda like mailing someone a refund-check with postage due…
