This is my MG L-Mini MCE (3-mode Lo-Med-Hi/batt 1-18650) which is my EDC, it has a Fenix PD30 clip and O-rings fo cigar hold.
This light is all flood, which I happen to like. Since it' an MCE, it gets fairly warm on high. Bryan from www.Shiningbeam.com does not recommend more than 3 minutes run-time, although I've run mine 6 minutes while holding it (not free standing) without a problem.
Now that is nice....I was going to put my order in for one but Bryan told me to wait for the new one that he's getting. Would you be able to post a beamshot.

I love my SB I-Mini and it’s one of my first decent lights, with it’s variable, but now anemic, twisty head. I have the AA tube for it and even a 2AA tube, even buying one 8 years back for a nephew.
They’ve been slow to progress, but it’s nice to see them still producing.
I thought so, as I’ve followed them on Ebay the past couple of years, but the thread appeared at the top of my ‘recent non-commercial’ page, after being refreshed, so that is odd. I don’t generally look at the poster’s name, nor the post date, if it’s a thread displaying at the top of the page.
I have an old Pocket Rocket. Very nice 18650 tube light with exceptionally grippy knurling. Felt great in the hand, but actually a bit too grippy for pocket EDC. It was tearing up my pockets.
My wife uses the MG X-Thrower every night when she locks up her chicken coop after dark. Great light.
I remember how amazing my MG PLI was when I first got it. “A wall of light!” we all exclaimed. A whole 500 lumens, Oh MG! How times and emitters have changed.
Shining beam was so awesome! I remember when this first came out. A bunch of CPF market place members started working Bryan (I think his name was) over about putting an MCE into a small light light this. Only modders had them at the time. I think SB was the first production light to do it. The very first to do it that I remember was CPF member Sabrewolf. Started with an SSC P7 and moved to selling them with MCE when that came out. Host was a trustfire 18650 host. Cant remember the host designation at the moment.
I too have a Shingbeam MC-E L-mini II CW with the 2.8A driver. I remember Bryan Chen reluctantly did a special run of these being concerned they would get in inexperienced hands. Lots of warnings back then about heat and although true, it was and, still is, an impressive wall of light. They date back for me to 11/11/2009! Still have the email exchange when I purchased it.
Also have a ShiningBeam I-mini XP-G Neutral White that made it though a summer camp with my daughter who was a counselor and lost it in a the dark in field for a while in the rain. Eventually it was found and still works. To me, it is still relevant today as a simple UI loaner light for Muggles, and for me when it might get dropped!
