Yes, Garry, the spill is not bright at all, just soft enough to make the light useful for all tasks outdoors. The coupon code is now in the main post. Jump on it fast!

If I know Louis, they only have 6 or 8 in stock currently in the US warehouse and I think he is afraid that if the code is good for unlimited amounts people will be disappointed when they run out in the US warehouse and they need to ship from China. Hopefully if the demand is high they will restock and offer another code.

Seems like a nice light, but it does seem odd to see the words "$45" and "Ultrafire" in the same sentence. At that price point, it is up there with some pretty decent single-emitter torches.

I think the TK41 has the same diameter on its reflector.

There certainly are and you can get the light plenty of other places for $35 but you won’t get them shipped from the US for that price. The TK41 also has a $120+ price tag so it’s hardly a fair comparison. I just hope they have enough in the US warehouse right now so there aren’t too many people getting disappointed if they run out and have to ship from China.

From talking with Louis it seems they are just starting to focus efforts on the flashlight market. There will be some growing pains for sure but I think it will pay off for them in the long run. They are used to poor flashlight sales and are hesitant to invest a lot of money in stocking lights if they don't sell well. If they offer the good lights their competitors do and keep them in stock at there other warehouses at the same prices as the competition they could really kick some ass.

Great Review, JohnnyMac, thanks for posting! I love the light, especially the gunmetal color. cehoward is right: Looks like a great cycling light. I'm holding out for a 3 mode with no disco, which I detest having to go through while riding.

The battery tube looks a lot like the battery tube for the JM07 Pro.

I here that mines getting a driver swap the minute I get it in the house. I thought those east drivers were direct drive on high, that kind of scares me with a King Kong capable of delivering over 10amps.

The heaviest current draw I get is ~5.50A from a battery space LiNiCoMn, but thats only if I press the +B spring completely down flat.

If I just touch the probe to the -B it draws 4A, so I think this is a more fair representation of this lights current draw with a low resistance 26650. Factoring contact resistances, resistance from the wires + switch and driver efficiency... I am not sure what current the LED "sees". My light does get warm after 6-7 minutes but its not what I would consider alarmingly hot.... so I think theres "something" throttling the current to the emitter, and its definitely not getting the full 4-5.5A I measure at the tail.

Regarding your custom 3.5A driver, do you think thats too much current for an XML in the HD2010 host? Would I be better off using one of your lower current drivers?

To my eye 3.5 seems to be the sweet spot you have to consider driver losses even if they are 90 percent efficient you are only getting 3.2 to the emitter at 3.5amps at the tail cap.
