How many flashlights do you have in your kitchen ?

Zero when I am not in it, three as soon as I enter it, and back to zero the instant that I exit.

Emisar D4V2 quad W2.1, Lumintop FW3A triple W2.1 and Nightwatch NSX3 3 x XHP 50.2.

Same with most other rooms in the facility, except for 27 in my room.

I’ve got a cheap AA flashlight from Menards in the kitchen drawer to help me tell water level on my espresso machine.

As kitchen is closest room to the front door of my house I keep a lot of flashlights in.
I have a shelf by the door where they are most of the time.

5x S2+ so all of us (5 people ih the house) can get one on the way out or in
BLF Q8 - when someone needs lots of light or for lighting whole kitchen if there is no power with ceiling bounce
2x D10 headlamp

The most flashlight dense room in the house is the kitchen because it’s the central room in the house and that is where our main storage for bits and bobs, the pantry closet, is located. I have 2x rayovac incandescent lights, 1x Sears incandescent thrower, 2x 6v incandescents, 1x random 2D incandescent, 1x Sofirn SP 31 V2.0, 1 Braun 390 lumen folding work light, 1 home made AA lantern with the 2300k 5mm LEDs from /u/rngwn, and on occasion, one BLF LT1.

0.

Wuben TO10R stuck to the side of the fridge with the tail magnet. In a position that is easy to grope to in the dark.

about 8.

Kitchen just happens to have some shelf space, so that is where most of my usable lights go
at least the ones that are not deployed at specific locations, - bedroom, basement, car, garage, etc

plus 4-5 cheap various color laser pointers

16 or about half of what I have.

Usually 3 or 4 on the counter that I have used in the the few days. Then 6, plus 3 headlights, in a drawer next to the outside door. You never which one you might want to use and we all know you need the right tool for the right job. Today I have 7 on the counter because I am changing which ones I keep in the cars.

2-AAA lights, 1-14500, 1-AA, 1-18650, and 1-26650, all hanging and ready to go.

I would think you’d need at least one there just to check on food cooking in the oven or to see inside dark cupboards but kitchen configurations do vary a lot…

agree with Asian8640:
our kitchen pantry contains the batteries, too.
all total? cheapie give-aways and everything?
32. maybe more. don’t guarantee they work.

I bought a pack of those too several years ago from Menards! I modified one of them, but it was a pain: Cheapo AA Flashlight Mod (not sure why some of the pics aren’t showing, or why I’m not able to fix them). An original angry blue tinted one is in a kitchen drawer.

We also have 4 other flashlights in the kitchen. A Convoy UV S2+ (used to find pet urine in the house), a Mountain Electronics modified Supfire M6 (used to make sure the dogs are safe in the backyard at night), a Sunwayman D40A, and a cheapo Rayovac headlamp.

Kitchen is the domain of the missus. Rest of us can’t leave anything, be it pet pee or lights.
It’s about the only room in da house where there are no flashlights (at all).
But when the cat’s away, the mice are gonna play. We have a killer oven, perfect for ano baking

I do a lot of work on my laptop in the kitchen and tend to tinker with lights as well, so there are at least a dozen sitting around me here. A handful of Zebralights, three FW3As, a couple disassembled Emisar lights, a disassemble Prime C1 Pro, and so on. There are more here than any room other than my actual modding area.

I am surprising myself with my answer but as weird as it might sound zero is the sad truth.

Lol, I thought, what a silly question. Who keeps lights in their kitchen? And then I counted. 7, I have 7 in my kitchen.

We have some cats and they are always batting toys under the oven so we keep stock of flashlights on top of fridge or magnet attached for easy use.
Best free cat toys are the milk rings under the cap, they go nuts with them.

Those giveaway magnet Flashlights at Harbor freight are handy on fridge as well, again Free and right at home here on the mighty BLF.

Lattterr

Our kitchen has a sliding glass door leading to the back yard, so we have 3 lights on top of the microwave right next to that door. Plus another light on the table. This reminds me, there might still be an old P7-mod Maglite on top of the fridge, I should look……

One BLF Q8 lives on a shelf in the kitchen. Comes in handy and keeps watch with its nice green glowing button.

O 9 -12

O More than a dozen....Check </>

The number was high enough that it made me wonder if it made me a bad person .

Was there someone out there being denied a light because I'd bought them all up ?

I watch a lot of cooking shows and I don't remember Martha Stewart having a DRY, an A6 or a DQG on a shelf or stuck to the fridge with a magnet.
