Review request for HKJ [USB Power Devices]

Hi HKJ,
could you have a look on this model (cheap but seem quite powerfull as I tested, output with current 1.03A) but not sure about its noise
ACA1AUSCWH3
I got from Lazada
https://www.lazada.vn/products/sac-energizer-cl-1a-1-cong-mau-trang_aca1auscwh3-i104051152-s105028062.html?spm=a2o4n.searchlist.list.2.649a5c29W2IOZA&search=1

I tried to contact with local DHL service to send it to EU area (you mentioned you are in Denmark) BUT the delivery cost is more than 12 times of the charger price, sorry, your living area is quite expensive so send smth like this charger :frowning:

Thanks

DHL is usually rather expensive to use, normal postal service is much cheaper. It might, of course, take a few month for it to arrive then.

HKJ : I just got this https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32814087598.html?spm=2114.12010612.8148356.8.5b615b95HbQGBo , all things are good but still have no idea about its noise. Could you set this in your test list in future ? thanks

Hello!

Just dropped by to say that I've found something interesting. It's an USB powered soldering iron, looks close to the one which once reviewer Dave from EEVblog tested:

But it evolved…

… into this new super cheap Aneng LT002 soldering iron!

https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000650074912.html ≈€3.67/$4.01 shipping included there right now, crazy!

I bought the first version long ago, it's slick. :-)

Nitecore Ourdoor Power NPS-series (200/400/600Wh):
https://charger.nitecore.com/OUTDOORPOWER/NPS/
https://www.nitecore-shop.de/power-solutions.html

That looks very interesting, except when you see the price.
I would need some serious donations before getting that, but I would also need to make some test equipment that can test power at 230VAC (I am sort of thinking about doing that).
The problem with testing 120/230VAC devices is to have a load that can handle AC at 350VACpeak with constant resistance (Constant current is basically useless, a high peak current test may be interesting).

I do not test solar panels. I do not have that much sunshine and I cannot easily simulate it.

Hi HKJ, what do you think about the already posted powerbank?

[quote=angerdan]

The price is way to high for me to buy for just a review.

[quote=angerdan]

Thanks, I will check them out when I am low on chargers to review.

At the current time my reviews are slowed down, because I am working on a project that requires a lot of time.

Yea, 180€ is some money. What about asking the shop for an copy to review?
.

All of them offers at least 2 ports with eather PD or QC.
I’d add some more very interesting chargers.
And created some table for the features:

.
.

Sounds interesting, will you publish the results?
Do you want to spoil some general details, like what general topic it is about?

I believe everyone here on BLF knows the value of your work.
It’s really helpful.

The project is already on BLF: Logging from meters
And on EEVBlog: Program that can log from many multimeters. - Page 1

Thank you for all your effort.

I second Barkuti’s request for the Aneng LT002 Soldering pen.

I do not really want to review cheap soldering irons. It will work for small solder joins, but there is not enough power for larger stuff.
I usually use a 80W Weller temperature controlled iron and has a 120W as backup.

Have you seen the following soldering irons? They are small and portable but use t12 style tips that have the heating element at the very working end of the iron. They work very well. They use open source firmware that is easy to get and load and is also excellent.

I think manufacturer is Miniwave, sold on AliExpress from NovelLife store.

(original offering):
TS100 - 65w, power by 5.5x2.5mm DC jack, use LiPo battery or similar

newer:
TS80 - 18W, power by USB-C PD

brand new:
TS80P - 30W, power by USB-C PD

At first it sounds like 18W or 30W is not enough, but the cartridge type tip with inclusive heating element (is it called t12?) is amazing, they perform incredible for such “small” wattages, as good or even better than traditional 60W irons with the ceramic heater and slip-on tips.

I have the TS100 and uses it as a backup and portable soldering iron.

High power is usually not needed for soldering parts to a circuit board. Desoldering sometimes needs a lot of power and soldering heavy solid copper wires can also require a lot of heat.
