I hear somewhere on reddit the M2 is not watertight due something with the o-ring and that the M1 is better. Can someone confirm/debunk this?
Hmm, not good news, my M2 is from the first generation, so I can not help confirming.
I just received my first M2 host from Simon on yesterday. I haven’t tested it yet (submersion) , and may not considering the risk to spotting the reflector, but the lens o-ring design is actually something I noticed immediately and didn’t have a bunch of confidence in. I’ll report back if I can’t help but test it somehow…
Scored a 900mm parabolic mirror today. I pick it up next week.
Details next week? And pics of course
For sure I have 2 recoil lights in progress 1 with 8inch aluminium reflector, 1 with 11inch glass mirror. I probably should start a thread for them builds
6’x4’x17mm free weight mat. Made of recycled rubber, this heavy mat turns our living room into a micro gym.
Planning to purchase PICOWE portable power station to use an iPhone with Garmin 64 gpsmap as my main GPS, have a re-chargeable headlamp and Casio Pathfinder watch that I will need to keep charged for 5-7 days in the outdoors. I have been looking at a Picowe, Jackery and Enkeeo. If there are cheaper options out there that works just as well or better, I am all ears!

Picowe is smth I consider the most right now.
Received a Sofirn C8F today. Took five weeks for delivery from Banggood.
The Sofirn C8F is one of my favorite forms of torches. I gave my first one to my MIL, because she liked it so much. This new one is mine-all-mine LOL.
I’m done with purchasing knives and lights until I get back to work, which could be a few more months at best.
No longer a “Budget” light but just (finally after a few episodes) received my Thrunite Ti. Originally bought it because it is titanium (as far as I know). I absolutely disliked the UI with next mode memory. I sent it to Vinh at Skyllumens for a complete rebuild. It is now fully programmable 3000k 95 CRI. It is absolutely what I wanted. It has a very low mode (not sure how low), a very high mode and everything in between.
Bliss for now.
GTvn Mini with SST40
OP reflector??
Yep, Vinh said the smooth reflector has a noticeable ring and donut hole in the beam.
Ah.
Nice torch ” BOO5TED ”
That is a good looking quality OP reflector

I got lucky with local fb group and scored lightly used Knipex crimping pliers and new in box automatic stripper for $25. No more stripping wire with knife!
Our family has another rattlesnake!
My sister plans to kill it.
I hope she can do so without any humans getting hurt.
I'll keep you all posted.
Okay, the rattler is dead.
My sister killed it with one strike of a shovel.
The snake was near my mom's bedroom window, so we took the screen out to get at the snake.
My sister basically had a three foot wall between her and the snake, so she played it pretty safe.
I don't plan on posting pics this time, but I am very glad the threat has been neutralized.
