How Much Money Have You Spent Since Lockdown?

I’m out of a job so no money coming in.
Other than extra food (and TP!!!)

I put $550 into a small sine wave generator.
It will run 2 fridges or a hot plate. (If I run out of charcoal for the BBQ).
Let’s hope I never need it.
Keep Safe
All the Best,
Jeff

I’m not sure, but I know it was more than I had coming in.

Less than normal since my wife and I aren’t driving to work anymore. And our auto insurance will be lowering rates for a couple of months. We feel very fortunate to be able to work from home.

Thermochromic Liquid Set Crystal Thermal Color Changing Gel Nail Polish Black Color Needed Soak Off Nail Art

The 200 one oz bottles of my wife’s magic dandruff shampoo arrived today from Florida. At least half of the flipopen caps were popped up. Actually not very much spillage, butt still a mess. Maybe airplane altitude pressure change or trucking over the Rockies?
She’s satisfied which makes me satisfied. :person_with_crown:

Excluding food, other necessities, or paper towels and toilet paper that can only be found in expensive smaller sizes now… I’ve spent a little on “fun”.

~ $45 on the new Civivi Exarch
~ $40 on an S2+ and a C8+
TBD - batteries and a charger for my first foray into the world of 18650 flashlights

$65 - I just ordered the newest watch from Bertucci. Their canvas bands are amazingly comfortable. I’d already swapped out the nylon for them on my other DX3 watches. Now they’ve finally got some watches coming stock with them. Check out the classy new brown case!

Xtra food. Xtra Food. and Xtra food.
I’ve put on 3 kg so far. Wife over 2.

hibernation rations?

With my wife blessings (Imagine that!) I bought myself a gun

And now there is a freaking shortage of ammo!!! Just my luck!

Looking for defensive rounds that don’t cost you an arm and a leg, ammoseek seems to be out of affordable JHP rounds! :frowning:

9mm: 350rnds
12ga: 80rnds 00Buck+40rnd #5 shot
$275

Update parts for my SBR’d AR (so that I could build a new AR pistol out of spare parts & the take-off’s from the upgraded rifle)
$460

CZ P09 from a buddy
$175 out of pocket (he owed me some money so that’s why I “got it so cheap”).

Cerakote on a bare steel remmy 870
$160

Raised bed/hoop house rebuild + seeds & seedlings
$90

Bitcoin on March 18th
$200USD

Adding it up it seems I’ve spend about $1600 to keep myself occupied during shut down (but the gains from BTC bring that total down to about $1270 already). Thank god I’m getting paid to not work lol. And now I find myself back at BLF looking at options for my next light purchases, smh!

Do I understand correctly that you bought a gun to defend your life, but you have no bullets?

ROFL! I do have bullets, but wanted some more… You can’t have enough of those!

Honestly, a freaking ton. My biggest mistake was making an account on Slickdeals 10+ years ago, as it will have you buy things you don’t need! lol!

I have an obsession with bluetooth speakers, the same way I do with flashlights. And can’t turn down a deal on one, even though I have an Aiwa Exos 9, which is far superior to anything under $500.

Luckily I’m still getting paid, so nothing has really changed as I have an essential job.

So I just spent R$820 on a new video card for my PC. I’m tired of only playing games from 2010 and before with a smooth framerate, barely anything newer than that plays at “better than slideshow” fps.

I went with the cheaper FMJ instead of JHP …. I can do a fairly quick Mag change if they get back up or try to get away…

Still running on the fuel from seven weeks ago when petrol was £1.16.
Oh those heady days.

Yesterday I spent near $1000 on lenses and about $500 on a couple of other lights. This morning i brought a CRX light and that is going to be a long wait for that to arrive.

What generator did you go with? We just stocked up a couple freezers and would hate to lose it all to a power outage.

Make sure whatever you get starts easy and doesn’t use more fuel than needed. If the power is out, the gas stations will be closed. I have a 2000w Honda inverter-style generator. It just purrs when the load is low. And it revs hard when the microwave runs.
