WTS: Hanko copies

bumpty dumpty

No way to get a memory on this?

I like to look at them but I haven’t put any effort into reading the instructions. All I know is that i can turn it on and cycle through the brightness with presses. The word memory appears in the manual in reference to stepless dimming mode. I’m not sure if that is on/off memory or just memory of the different modes.

And just the green one right now…

I’ve decided to sell both but would prefer to sell the green one first so I don’t get have two greens.

You can still buy all the colors on AE but AE charges tax and a paypal fee so it was about 174 for the three. That’s why my price is very fair. If I could do it again I would buy the silver color.

Would you be interested in exchanging?
And how to get to led? Is there pill screwed in?

I’d love one of these, but being in USA it’s a no no for me sadly. :frowning:
I’d be temppted to play with them more and find out the UI (ie, is it anduril or similar but locked in stepped mode?) - does it have smooth ramping?
That UI they describe seems to act exactly as Anduril? two clicks from off to turbo, 4 clicks for blinkies? It also says it has stepless dimming? I wonder if they stole anduril? modded it ? who knows. Anduril has to use e switch - pretty sure this isn’t?
Here is the original Hanko - $2000! it is not a bad homage

Good luck with your sale.

It might be some kind of Cresendo UI for push button lights… the driver dosen’t look like it is set up with a signal trace for the tube.

If you want to do the black one……I’m in. PP FnF too

black sold to anotherguy

I just paypal’ed

I hope it went correctly

Light received , thanks!

I just thought you guys may be interested in this, I was a bit stunned to say the least - i have ordered one for re- conversion lol.
Here is the same ‘light’ and it has been repurposed into a vape! best of all it’s solid copper for £20! it will need tweaking, but I have a lathe so no big problems hopefully.
Depending on how that goes I may do a stainless one as well
Fasttech link

This version is stainless

“reconversion” that’s a word that doesn’t get used much

Looking forward to what you come up with GO0SE

reconversion or recondition lol maybe recreate or reincarnate!
No pressure then…… :person_facepalming: odd the head part looks reversed compared to the photo’s further up this page. What was male is now female……and what was a light is now a vape lol.
I may have to solder something in the head to hold the guts in… unless I can steal a thread out of something brass, pipe fitting maybe. I’ll have to work it out when it arrives.

Wish you good luck for it to arrive.

My girlfriend ordered some masks from FT at a premium (DHL express). After a month they wanted more money for postage. She paid, because she still needed them. Since then there’s silence. No more FT for me. Ever.

Nice find, G0OSE.

I don’t know why but the Fasttech website doesn’t work for me. I would love to build a flashlight out of this, too.

I'm not crazy about the skull, but otherwise it looks pretty nice!

Do you think this could be done also without a lathe? It would be awesome to get a quad flashlight out of this but is it even possible only with hand tools and soldering?

Hmm, yes.
I am thinking even with a lathe, some will need to be done by hand.
I think the glass and optic/led will fit right in. I don’t think they changed the end, just put a button in there instead of glass - that end is about 5mm longer too by the looks of it - you can either leave it, or cut those crenellations off.
I think the whole pill holder bit is going to have to be made from either copper pipe and soldering rings etc, or find a thread off something else to solder in since there are no threads in the head for a pill. I can’t turn threads. Until it arrives i have no idea about sizes.
I will make a heatsink from copper on the lathe - I’m sure you could buy a piece of copper bar on ebay and hack saw a bit off.
The tail end is the bit that is going to cause the most hassle with no lathe, though you could just carefully drill it out and flatten it on wet/dry and a file.
Mine hasn’t even been dispatched yet.
