Features:
1. Hard Anodized finish.

This is a complete kit minus the emitter, driver and battery.
Comes with a reverse clicky, but cnqualitygoods has forward clickies available.
I chose an T6 XML 3C tint with a 2.8 amp driver flashed to a custom 5 mode.
Modes are .02 moonlight, .08 low, .6 medium, 1.4 high and 2.8 turbo.

This is what found in the package after I put the pill together.
The host has very nice anodizing.
The knurling was very nice with no flaws.
The threads were silky smooth and came pre-lubed.
The o-rings were all there and of very good quality.
The clicky switch is very lively, not to hard, not to easy just right in my opinion.
The beam was very nice with a decent amount of throw and excellent flood.
I am over all very impressed with the quality of the host.
If I had to complain about anything the clip could be a little stronger, but that is typical for this type of host.
I don't hesitate to give this kit 5 out 5 stars highly I recommend it.

What I do
Here is a beam shot comparing it to the Famous Manafont/Ultrafire P-60 Drop in on the right.
It has way more flood than a P-60, but still throws perfect for an EDC. The really cool thing about it is with a bestinone 14500 you can gun it up to 2.8 amps for a few minutes before it gets to hot to hold than you can back it down to high at 1.4 amps and it's still super bright.
If you really want more throw you can order the XPG reflector version and put a neutral 4C XPG that cnqualitygoods sells in there with a 2.2 amp 5 mode and get more throw and still have the nice tint.

What I do
What an awesome light I can't put it down. This is the first light I have built for myself in about six months and the quality of this host far exceeds anything AA sized I have put my hands on. I am actually going to order another with the XPG reflector and build a 4C tint XPG 2.2 amp 5 mode 1.1amp high 2.2amp turbo and a .002 moonlight low. I can't say enough good thing about this host it's a must have for 14500 fans.
I have a couple requests to build some more for people. If anybody else wants one completed send me a PM and I will build some to sell.

Yes very safe I am using an IMR from bestinone it belts out 2.8 amps with ease. It appears the 14500 IMRs are sold out at the moment.

To clarify:
The maximum rated safe discharge for an ICR 14500 is 1.5 amps. The maximum rated safe discharge for an IMR 14500 is 5 amps.
So yes, it's safe as long as you use an IMR cell. Just make sure to not leave it running on high or heat could damage or destroy the light. Not a light to set to high and then leave tailstanding on your desktop for an hour.
I had an Akoray 106 as well, the pill on the Akoray will not allow a 17mm driver to fit so the options are very limited. Also the quality on this light is far better than that of the Akoray. The coating, the threads, the knurling and the o-rings are all of a much higher quality.

QUESTION: It's clear that the difference between iCR and IMR 14500s is critical - particularly with this "Pocket Rocket" so would someone provide a couple of links to IMR 14500s (and maybe links to ICR 14500s for comparison)? Thanks very much.

The Nanjg driver is rated from 2.8-6.0 volts so it won't work with an AA battery. I don't know of as any drivers that will push an XML hard enough with an AA battery perhaps you should consider switching to a 14500 IMR battery.

How is the pill in terms of heat transfer (mass, threads)?
Would it be possible to get a closeup of the pill, with LED and driver installed?
The pill is very light weight the walls are thin it's the only way you could make it to allow a 16mm star and 17mm driver to fit, but the threads are really nice.The pill gives great heat transfer because of the nice threads. Here some more pictures.

How do you tell them to use a XP-G reflector instead of XR-E? The product you liked to says XP-E, but the pictures seem to be XR-E.
Are the threads square-cut? One of my favorite things about the AKOray K106 is the heavy duty square-cut threads.
There used to be a box you check off to pick an XPG or XRE/XML reflector I don't see it there anymore.
The threads are square cut, I think that's why the pill transfers heat so well.

I love the look of this host! Is is available in 18650 form? I know there are some in 18650 but none look as god as this.
