13,000 lumens from a single 21700 cell. Yes, it also has normal modes.

110mm long, bulbous XHP70.2 LEDs, driver with inductor (cause boost), 21700 long cell but it is not a mule?
The body has 1mm thickness everywhere or how is that not a mule?

As long as it doesn’t explode in my pocket I’m good

really fugly light… the switch is too high up… u will probably burn yourself reaching for the button holding it with one hand…. and hardly any deep fins wow… where should all that heat go :person_facepalming:

Gets a nuh-uh from me too. I have zero plans of buying an IMALENT for as long as their designs put power before safety and build reliability.

No interest.Never bought their brand and never will.

-QC has bad reputation, lights blowing up/catching fire! :disappointed:

- Terrible spot for switch. You will be burning your finger when decreasing turbo!

-Lousy cooling fins for heat shedding

-Probably get about 30 seconds of turbo before your fingers have blisters!

- These small lights with overkill output are useless and not practical to me.

I stick to bigger lights that have great output, sustained for 5 to 20 minutes depending on the outside temp. and better heat shedding, QC and run time.

The beam in the photos looks very blue; quoted run-time of 45 seconds on turbo and 1 minute on high (8,000 lm). 72 minutes at 2,000 lm would be useful with NW emitters; a single cell version of the Haikelite MT03 and MT09.

It looks quite strangely proportioned. A floody light of that size should have a larger battery area surely…

Should have high efficacy at low-mid levels, though I’m very sceptical of the 13k claim.

Make sure to use 30A+ cells and oven mitts.

No, no, no. You’re conflating “Imalent” with “Immolate”.

But who knows. Maybe it’s got a 13000lm pre-flash, then steps down to something less… fiery.

“Immolate” is what happens when this accidentally turns on in your pocket! :smiling_imp:

What a nice feature.

Brief, maximum turbo in a flashlight is kind of like underwood 10 mm Glock 29. I don’t plan on using them much, I don’t use them much, but it’s nice to know that they’re there if needed.

Nice pillars of creation avatar!

I hate the usb-c rechargeable batteries. I wish the usb-c was on the flashlight host. Given this is Imalent, I’m pretty sure actual lumens is about 10-11k lumens. Their QA got better with the MS18 and R90TS so quality should be good.

That thing is an expensive dynamite stick. Taming 3 xhp70.2 esp. 6v is a tall order. You’d need a crazy boost driver on 1 cell. 90W for one battery is asking a lot. Given losses in the driver for efficiency, true draw is probably closer to 100W or more.

yes tell me about it lol… for that power u want a blf q8 ish host or something as minimum to handle that kind of lumens…. who the heck wants 10k lumens in their pants ? lol… :person_facepalming:

Me. I want 15K so I probably won’t buy this

I always thought they were synonyms.

I would love to have a 20k pocketable light even if it is only good for 7 seconds. “Turbo” is not meant to be sustained.

I have some lights that have lots of battery capacity and one little teensy eensy weensy led sitting on top of all that battery power. However, due to some kind of off-beat personality profile that is all my fault, I don't feel excited about them. One day, science will develop a pill that will cure me. I will probably take two pills, get very excited about uber practical lights, and destroy my liver. Until then, give me single cell lights with enough multiple emitter power to blast me off to Heaven!

By the way, 444 posts, nice! My fav TC Contender is JD Jones SSK hand Cannon in .444 Marlin, throated long, so the bullet does not take up precious case capacity.

edit: SKV89 posted when I was posting. His post, diectly above this post: "I would love to have a 20k pocketable light even if it is only good for 7 seconds. “Turbo” is not meant to be sustained." Yes, I agree. Turbo is meant to be there, when need be.

Bbtw: I ordered two of these from my fav modder/supplier. My guess is that he won't be able to boost them.

Hard to say because HL drivers aren’t that good. Maybe even a spring bypass from your fav modder might bump up the output a bit.

so why the need for so much lumens in the blink of an eye ?
