What you got today

I got a 3M headlight restore kit.

I finally got an 8pak of toilet paper!

Was running low on Scotts (which I’m saving), did get crappy ¼-roll CVS-brand 4pax for a while, ordered a box of Tork huge-roll industrial TP that should be coming in a week or so, but finally had marginally-better Marcal for a change.

Jesus smiled on me… :innocent:

The difference between the batteries is quite big in diameter and length!
Can you check the measures on the battery tube?
If you need a measurement of the 16650 I can help on that :+1:

Any Knipex product on its own is worth $25 - even lightly used, in my book

I didn’t mean to imply that with some adjustments one could fit 16650 inside but rather that the light is quite bulky. Far from the largest but very far from what I hoped for.
24 mm bezel diameter
93 mm total length
20.5 mm tube diameter
14.65 mm tube inner diameter
16.35 mm inner diameter of the threaded part
61 mm depth of battery tube from the driver to the end of threads. Actual battery compartment is shorter than this by roughly 6 mm.
11.5 mm tailcap length

So…one could easily mill it to accept 16500. 16650 would require removing the switch.
Honestly, I don’t think it’s worth bothering.

I got an Acebeam E10 for testing. Wow, just wow!

Is that LEP?

Nope. Led + TIR

I couldnt wait so had to have a look on acebeams site. The osram led stands out. I like the beam they trow. here is one on the right behind a 145mm lens, tree is 50m, other beam is W30.

I fully agree, did some crimping on 1.5mm wire and it’s really easy to do, I feel like there is no room for error, especially when compared to some no name tool I sometimes used before.

.
I really like that one :smiling_imp:

Sorry, I misinterpreted your statement before, now I get what you say! For a moment you got me thinking that this could be one of those lights that fit different types of batteries. But I see that it’s due to the overall size that you said it
Thanks for your measurements, though!

I got this primary arms advanced micro dot (rotary control version). These primary arms optics absolutely embrace the spirit of BLF in the firearms optic world; high quality and extremely high value for your money! I put it on my marlin Camp 9 and sighted it in, can’t wait to get out and have some fun with it soon!

Wuben T70 today. Here it is with another recent arrival the Wurkkos DL40.

Knives are: Real Steel H6 Special Edition II (orange), and Real Steel H6 Elegance. Excellent thumb stud flippers.

Agreed. I ordered one from Illumn on Friday, showed up in the box on Monday. Cheers to Illumn. Always nice doing business with them.

I never had a real need for a thrower like that until I got this new property. I have a few hot rod C8’s and a BD06. That about rounds out my thrower collection, until now. That E10 is a impressive little light. It’s about 200 yards from my front porch to the tree line. No problem lighting it up. 100 yards from the back porch to the tree line and of course that isn’t a problem for that light either. It will get used for looking for deer and critters and seeing what the occasional rustle in the woods is all about. It’s impressive for sure. Never seen a TIR that size, pretty neat. I’ll try for some beam shots tonight if it’s clear enough. Been kinda hazy/foggy around here the last week or so.

Please don’t buy this thinking it will work as a great everyday light. It just won’t. It does exactly what it is suppose to do and, it does it very well.

Ikea PS 2017 Light.

Refreshing design; lacking UI.

Especially when you consider that there is a PIC inside that could have been programmed into something else than 1-mode only light.

For my initial impression, see https://imgur.com/a/BbkvAqI

Already consfiscated by my 10-year old daughter.

Thats a neat light !

Got the SOG BladeLight BLT 10-K. It was $9.99 delivered. It comes with two AA Energizer batteries. Also, a Kydex sheath.

However, the flashlight is DOA. I even went and bought new AA batteries, but still not working. The knife has a 9Cr18MOV blade, and a FRN handle. So it is worth $10, not a whole lot more than that, though.

Yet another faulty flashlight for review

Got a Rofis MR70, really liking this light so far.
I am a sucker for lights with dual output modes, and USB charging.

Also picked up a Blackfire hat light, was tired of not being able to use a headlamp when I had a hat on.
Decent light for the price, 40 and 100 lumens, though I wish it had an even lower mode.
